On our recent visit, we had a top-floor room at Le Bouclier d'Or and it was lovely. During our visit, there were two excellent concerts in the courtyard and, although all of the seats were filled, we had a perfect position with which to enjoy the concerts--our room which over looked the courtyard. The personnel were friendly and very helpful.... More

This Hotel was picked without mayor expectations and it turned out as one of the best during our trip. It is a little hard to find as it is in the middle of a pedestrian zone. However, that said, it is conveniently located to explore Strasbourg in every direction. Great for strolls through the shopping areas, the Cathedral and tons... More

The location of this beautiful hotel is perfectly in the center of Petite France, but also an easy 10 minute walk to the cathedral and many options for restaurants. The breakfast is worth the extra cost and is served in room, on the terrace or in the lovely dining room. Our rooms (a comfort double beside a superior twin) were... More

If you want to save money, or stay in a typical chain hotel, don't book at this property. This hotel is the real thing. Unique, charming, and well located this is an authentic experience. The Alsatian rooms are the real deal, the breakfast (costs extra) is first rate, the staff (with one exception) are warm and welcoming. I love Strasbourg,... More

Good location, in the heart of Petite France. Room and bathroom were spacious. Valet parking was really helpful in that area. But we had to climb 2 flights of stairs to reach our room. Okay, the staff took care of our luggage, but no lift in a 4-star hotel? Shower had no door or curtain, spreading water all over the... More

I really have only wonderful things to say about this jewel of a hotel. Everything is recently renovated and very clean and lovely. Large comfortable bath- we stayed in the Alsatian suite which has a loft bedroom with two twin beds above the main double bedded room. Very good air-conditioning, a lovely bar and patio and terrific central location just... More

We only stopped for one night, but wish it had been longer. The Spa was fantastic and we had it to ourselves. The room was large with complimentary mini bar (only soft drinks) and very peaceful and luxurious. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and the location was perfect. The parking is 30 Euros a day, even though my... More

This hotel is absolutely beautiful and my favorite hotel in Europe. The rooms are decorated in an Alsatian style and are phenomenal. The location is great on the edge of Petite France heading into some of the great monuments of the city. The beds are very comfortable and the breakfast was insanely good. It is one of my favorite hotels... More

Me and my wife spent 6 days at this hotel in June. The staff was very helpful and always there to help. The room was real spacious with lots of extra place and the bed and pillows were gorgeous. It is situated just at the heart of the old city, only a few strides from the river and less than... More

We were very fortunate to stay at this hotel last week. It is probably one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in. The hotel itself is a beautifully restored 16th century building, conveniently located in the old town. The rooms are spacious and clean with a quality modern fit out (without losing the antique charm). The bathrooms are fantastic... More
