A luxurious hotel with great service. Situated in Petit France, the old town area of Strasbourg, many great restaurants and cafe's within walking distance. All of the hotel was spotless and superbly decorated. Rooms were very spacious and extremely comfortable, bathroom and shower amazing. I did not eat in the hotel but bar area great, you must try the fruit... More

We stayed here for three nights at the beginning of our holiday. This hotel is in the perfect location. Right in the old town with many restaurants within walking distance and less than ten minutes stroll to strasburg cathedral. It is beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. We didn't eat there at all so don't know about the food. I would... More

Arriving by train from London via Paris, we enjoyed a pleasant walk from the Strasbourg station to this very nicely located hotel. Check-in was quick and straightforward, leaving us plenty of time to have an initial exploration of this part of town. Hotel's location is a definite plus for sightseeing on foot. Public areas of the hotel are very pretty.... More

We requested the Alsace room with exposed beams and were not disappointed. It was a gorgeous room with a view overlooking to streets and a church. The service here was excellent as well. They were able to recommend restaurants, book tables for us, recommend drinks in their bar, little treats on our pillows every night, even closing our curtains for... More

The hotel is located in the old part of Strasbourg in a perfect location. The building is old but all facilities are very modern. The old wooden beams are a sharp contrast to the very modern appliances, electronic options for toilet use and the large and electronic controlled very large spa bath tub. .Room was very large and clean..

This hotel was a few notches above the places I usually go to so it is difficult for me to compare, but I as impressed. From my background as an engineer I loved having the original, structural, wooden beams passing through the room. We had a view hassles with parking and perhaps the hotel could be clearer about the parking... More

Me and my fiancee loved this hotel. We had an Alsacian room at the third floor, room 18, with a giant bathroom, extremely clean, flawless. The bed, we just wished to take it home :) The breakfast was very good, with fresh fruit and juices, delicious pancakes...ok, maybe some more vegetables would have made it perfect :). The service was... More

We stayed in a suite this weekend for my wife's birthday. I was very happy with everything from start to finish. The hotel is newly renovated in the last two years and this shows, the attention to detail is clear, we really liked the style of the interior and overall appearance of the hotel. The spa is also very nice.... More

This is a beautiful place to stay and I heartily recommend it. It's about 12 minutes walk from the station, bit of a hike over the cobblestones but I enjoyed it. Being fairly flat, Strasbourg is a walker's paradise and the sights, which are abundant and lie in every direction, are within easy reach. Mine was an extremely large room... More

I stayed in the Bouclier d'Or (the Golden Shield) in Strasbourg for a long weekend with grown-up kids. The hotel is a beautifully refurbished sixteenth century building with a spiral staircase in a turret. The rooms are tastefully decorated, with fabulous antique furniture and modern bathrooms. Everything is air-conditioned, which was a huge relief during a hot weekend in July.... More
