Beside the Rhine, Hotel F1 was easy to find and well signposted. It is in a quiet cul de sac just off the main ring road. Eating was more difficult and a car was essential. I chose to head south down the riverside road to a Buffalo Grille.

This was a spur of the moment decision to drive across to France for a couple of nights, and attend the opera - so it was done on the cheap as it was unplanned. I knew in advance that the WC would not be in the room, so that was not a surprise - however the loos were not kept... More

30€ per night for a double or a triple room automatically means small rooms, shared toilets, shared showers, 5km distance from the city center. On the other side the place is clean, ordered, with a kind staff. If you want to save money without looking for amenities or comfortable stuff, this is a great place to stay.

Stayed there just one night, chosen since it had a free car parking. The hotel is in a sort of strange suburb, with no services at all, just a bus stop. The trolleybus stop is quite a walk away. Shared bathrooms and showers, looked like chemical wcs. Breakfast to be paid separately, otherwise vending machines in the hall. They didn't... More

Hotel was very basic as you would expect. We stayed for 3 nights with a group and when we arrived dirty sheets and cleaning equipment were just left out on the corridors. The communal showers/toilets weren't amazing either and often stunk after other people used them. The showers had no curtain on, just a door to cover and the lights... More

I stayed with friends one night at hotel f1. The place is in the middle of nowhere. Actually, in the middle of the ghetto. Local people tried to rob us twice. They stole a backpack from a friend's room. Bathroom facilities were horrible. Dirty and smelly (if they were working at all) It's a place where junkies and prostitutes hang... More

I stayed for one night at hotel F1 Strasbourg, as I needed to be close to Kehl train station (my train to Munich would depart from there early in the morning). Good hotel, the night shift receptionist was very helpful giving me a taxi service contact in case I missed the bus to Kehl (which didn't happen, fortunately), the corridors... More

Excellent Value budget hotel. Very clean with shared showers and toilets. Rooms are a good size and the hotel is easy to get to. I arrived late and there are no real restaurants in the area, but the hotel manager is friendly and very helpful, and organised me a taxi to go and get a takeaway. Car parking is secure... More

This Ibis hotel is located near European institutions in Strasbourg which is good for those who travel there. The hotel is probably not good for tourists because of its location and high price (for being Ibis). However, the quality is standard good and hotel provides travellers with all necessary services which may be needed. I recommend this particular hotel for... More

Stayed in the Ibis during "Strasbourg Week". Ones a month all the European members of Parliament have there plenary session in Strasbourg. This is a terrible time to find hotels as prices explode! We ended up in the Ibis and this was not a good experience. The rooms are small and not very clean. The kind of place where you... More
