There were 4 of us that stayed here, not couples, and we got 2 queen sized beds (Not a massive problem). The room was rather spacious considering it was one of the cheapest hotels we found in the area but we weren't even in the hotel that long. Pros - Good location (Minutes away from the nearest Metro) - Balcony... More

Small rooms, Mediocre Bathrooms, very few electrical plugs, dirty, torn and ugly bedsheets. Reception divited in Hotel-Pub all together and at night if you want the key you have to wait until customers are served "Beer" at the bar. Unfrendly Staffmembers. Wouldn't reccomend it.

Excellent location but very noisy at night. Windows open up into a courtyard which makes it very difficult to sleep. Nice big TV with HD and Wifi a plus. I'm not sure if any rooms open up onto the front street so their situation could be different.

The hotel haw a good location as far as sightseeing is concerned but very very noisy as far as sleeping is concerned. It was not the cleanest hotel I have ever been but it was OK for the money. The bathroom was a bit "claustrophobic" but clean and thank god we stayed for two nights so we managed without a... More

Hotel Le Grillon was nothing special but it was not bad. It is very basic and the location was pretty good. We did not have a hard time finding it either. The neighbourhood was average as well. If you are on a budget I would recommend Hotel Le Grillon.

We got a double room and there was barely enough room to walk. The bed was pushed to one wall and there was barely room to put our small luggages, or even drag them in The bathroom was stiflingly small and fairly dirty, but everything was well masked by the dim lighting across the room, bathroom and halls. I'm only... More

Stayed at Hotel Le Grillon on Nov 1 & 2, 2011. Nice hotel, staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were basic but that was what I wanted. Near train station, another plus.

I read quite a few reviews on this Hotel before I stayed there and most were not very positive. I spent eight weeks in Europe, staying in Hostel dorm rooms mostly, so I guess I was comparing this Hotel with Hostels rather than Hotels. That said, it's close to the Railway Station, reasonably clean, and my top floor room at... More

I stayed at Hotel le Grillon for one night in Strasbourg, after one night across the street at Hotel Victoria, because a mistake in my booking. And although cheap and clean, the hotel really is just adequate for a short stay. The staff at le Grillon is sometime very helpful and sometime inattentive. Because the hotel runs the bar next... Worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Drug dealers on the stairs (inside the hotel!) Paper thin walls, rooms so small we had to go out in the hall to change our minds. Mostly rude service. People running about the hotel, up and down stairs and corridors, and banging doors shut at all hours. Such a horrid place that after a... More
