- Citadines Hotel Strasbourg

Lifts out of order. Clueless staff (albeit polite). Small room (would have been functional as a single, but was too small as a twin). Dirty room, signs of past occupants' hair all over the place. Room was not cleaned on the second day (good day I had hanged my towel and hadn't left it on the floor).

This venue represented our first point in a 6 week trip through Europe. After landing in Frankfurt, we needed to get to Strasburg for the night. We were unfamiliar with the city and arriving at dusk we were anxious to get to the hotel. It was easy to find, within 10 minutes walk of the station. Lobby area is small...

Excellent location. You can walk to all the sights from the hotel. The room was spacious and clean. Nice breakfast. Great value of money. They do not service the rooms everyday and sometimes thats good!
Front desk service was friendly and efficient at check in / check out. Check in is at 2pm and check out 12noon and I was able to store my luggage after checking out as my train was not departing until later in the day and I wanted to see a bit more of the pretty town.
The rooms were spacious...

We stayed in a one-bedroom club apartment with a toddler. The apartment was basic but had everything you would expect, although it was considerably smaller than it had appeared based on the pictures on the website. As mentioned in other reviews, the buffet breakfast is quite basic, but was included in the price for us. The hotel car park is...

I go to Strasbourg all the time for work, but this was the first time with my family. We needed a larger room, so Citadines was a good fit.
We arrived later at night from Frankfort Airport and there were staff smiling at the desk. We speak French, but it was obvious that English was no problem as well. The parking...

Location, location, location...I like Citadines chain , they are just a notch above no-frill aparthotels but they win in terms of their locations ( in Paris, London...). Strasbourg is no exception. You can find hotels that will be 200-300 feet closer to center but they will be facing a tramway line.
Citadines Kleber is in a reasonably quiet side street...

I stayed here with my family (5 total people) and loved it. We booked it the day of our stay, and, aside from getting the form returned while trying to pack, it was a fairly easy process (they could benefit from online forms). Anyway, we found the hotel to be in a great location, just a 5 minute walk from...

Stayed at the Citadines in Strasbourg in May 2011. There were good reviews on Tripadvisor so thought we would go ahead and book. Went with a twin bed room. What we got was a couch with a pull out mattress. Room was cramped and small. Would never stay here. Don't recommend at all. Photos and advertising are deceiving.
