There are two sorts of hotel in Strasbourg: smaller independent hotels, usually in converted buildings, and mostly right in the heart of the city; and the bigger, more anonymous chain hotels that cluster around the edge. The Novotel is obviously an anonymous chain hotel, but it has one of the best locations: just across the river from the heart of... more

The hotel is very well located - 10 minutes from the station by feet and only a couple of minutes from the city center. The rooms are large and I don't agree with other reviews saying that this hotel is "tired". The bathroom is clean with plenty of towels (important when you have long hair!), there is a kettle with... more

We stayed at this Novotel because of its location and price. The overall experience was good however the rooms, and specially the bathrooms are very old. THe clealiness was not the best either. Service by the restaurant staff was very good, but the quality and variety of the buffet was not as good as in other NOvotels. I have stayed... more

No problems with this hotel. Very clean, big rooms. Good Bathroom with large shower. I booked a superior room on the front side so there was a nice view. Watch for specials. I paid 139 Euro for the first 2 nights and 99 Euro with Breakfast for the last 2 nights. The Tram stops in front of the hotel so... more

I concur with all the other reviews: this is a modern, efficient, clean business hotel, very well-located next to the first tram stop out of the Central train station. Rooms at the front have panoramic views and a complete absence of outside noise (perhaps because the street is part-pedestrianised and the trams are silent). There is a pleasant bar area... more

A plain hotel, well situated and probably popular with business people. I stayed here with a group of 10 for 2 nights in mid June 2008. No problems in dealing with the polite staff. A minor exception might be the bar staffs ability to process payment. It seemed they had to go very far to reach the cash register which... more

the w-end at the novotel was excellent in all aspects. The room is large, the bed comfortable, nice design, extra bed if needed, the desk is mobile and can divide in 2 parts (excellent for business travellers), the bathroom is large enough with also a nice design, toilets are separate, tea cups and kettle are provided, the room is clean.... more

The Novotel Strasbourg is in a good location, only a short walk from the main train station and close to the centre of Strasbourg. A pleasant walk to the Cathedral and Petit France tourist areas. Strasbourg was a nice city to visit, we only spent one day there but wished we had longer. The tram stops right outside the Hotel... more

excellent hotel, great location, a few minutes walk from the old town. We needed a hotel with a car park, which was the main reason we booked this Novotel. The breakfast was good, typical Novotel, and the room was spacious, with a king size bed and a sofabed, if you travel with kids. The aircon was working very well and... more
