A basic hotel with a friendly staff and a comfortable bed. For the price, this is a very good place to stay in Strasbourg. Next door to an excellent patisserie, close to the station and Petite France, and on the marvelous tram route.

The one really good think about this hotel is its location – near the train station and the city centre. Staff and breakfast – ok. I didn’t even mind the old furniture. But what I couldn’t stand was the low hygiene. Bathroom was not cleaned properly and smelled bad. Even more, there was no ventilation and the bathroom door was... More

Very good customer service. The receptionist could not find my reservation, but after I showed him the confirmation number on my phone he apologized and upgraded my room. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the train station, 2 minute walk from the city center (the island). There is a laundromat 10 meters away if you're on a budget,... More

First of all I'd like to say that I think they are renovating some rooms, so the design may differ between the rooms. - The hair dryer was not in my room, so I had to borrow one from reception. It's an old building and therefore the walls are not soundproof, but I was prepared so had brought ear plugs... More

The Pax hotel has a perfect location close to all important touristic attractions. Room was clean, reception was friendly. However the thing I always need - wifi - was just bad! It was impossible to connect at all, and I had to buy 1 day access by local mobile company.

This hotel may not be very impressive: the rooms are quite simple and the entrance is not breathtaking. However, there is a lovely courtyard that (1) isolates some rooms from the noise of the street and (2) creates a lovely space to read a book or to have a chat in the summer. The rooms are simple but clean and... More

We had a fab, modern, newly refurbished room. It was in a really convenient location and had secure parking. Getting there was not straight-forward but was worth the effort! We did not choose to eat in the hotel, but local restaurants were close by.

Due to construction works in the hotel, we had to search for our room during at least 15 minutes. The hallways were full of construction material which gave the hotel a very chaotic look. A nest of pigeons above the window caused a lot of noice during the night. The breakfast was very minimalistic and cheap-looking (few variety, small portions,... More

We loved our stay in this quaint hotel very close to the old town of Strasbourg. The rooms are clean, breakfast is excellent and if you plan to cover only Strasbourg you do not need a car. The tram station is in front of the door and public transport is outstanding and reasonable especially by American Standards.

I liked this hotel! My room was really quirky with a sort of alcove type thing. 3 of the nights were reasonably priced at €40 and one was €90 which was obviously too much. The staff were lovely and the breakfast was nice. Location was excellent, an easy 5 minute walk from the Gare Strasbourg. Only thing I would raise... More
