Me (german) and my wife (japanese) need here and then an escape from our City routine... Since my wife is very good in sourcing out unique escape destinations around Germany/Europe. First I was a little sceptical as we we consider us as foodies and wellness pro's, but when we arrived there we were blowing away from the location of the... More

I have been to three yoga retreats hosted by the La Clariere. The hotel and the nature surrounding it are perfect for a true getaway. The service is very friendly and helpful, the rooms spacious and comfortable, the food healthy and delicious. And of course…the spa is the icing on the cake. The sauna with a window looking onto the... More

It was a big disappointment right from the start: unfriendly staff, old hotel where you see immediately that the owners try to save money in any way possible. Nothing special: mugs from IKEA, tea from Naturata, chocolate bars in the fridge were perished since months. Considering money spent you would expect a better service, instead it was just poor.

Thank you very much for your feedback on your stay. Since its creation in 1981 and having started out with just ten rooms, the hotel expanded to fifty rooms in just twenty years. During these years, we have constantly invested in new buildings and renovated the existing ones. If our aim was to "save money in any way possible" (quote),... More

Good spa area but very old fashioned rooms. Definitely not good value for money since it is fairly expensive. We had to leave in advance because of personal issues but the Direction did not want to apply a discount for the night we did not stay. We will not go again.

Thank you very much for your feedback on your stay. We are very sorry that you had to leave our hotel before the expected departure date. As the hotel was fully booked and you left after check out time, we did apply our cancellation policy. As a family hotel and having started out with just ten rooms in 1981, the... More

We were looking for a relaxing pre-Christmas experience and we decided that this hotel would be a good choice. The hotel is a bit expensive (room and breakfast) but we found the massages to be a good value. The staff were super nice and helpful. The spa is very tiny and a bit crowded, but the outdoor pool was ok.... More

Thank you very much for the feedback on your stay with us. Since your stay with us we do provide coffee in all our rooms. We did not provide coffee as it was not part of the guidelines of a healing hotel. However after several guest requests, we decided to add coffee in addition to organic tea bags. We do... More

The Vosges mountains area is extremely attractive, stunning in Autumn, and the tiny mountain village of La Petite Pierre is a great stroll with its old ramparted town, gabled buildings and numerous decent restaurants along the main street. La Clairiere spa hotel is a nice 15 min walk (1.5km) from the centre, along the road to Ingwiller. Its a modern,... More

I stayed at La Clairiere for a week earlier this month. I was on the detox programme so all my food was vegan. The food was amazing, inventive and delicious. I was full all the time. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, the answer to any question was positive and with a smile! I heard other guests asking... More
