I think from reading the other reviews that we were just unlucky with the room we ended up with. We'd booked quite last minute and the only room left was the Studio Mansarde. This was an extremely basic room with a shower cubicle literally built along the wall of the room and lino floors. We had read that the toilet... More

My wife and I have returned from a superb 6 night stay at this accommodation. Our hosts were friendly without being intrusive and we were able to come and go as we pleased. The location is perfect as the bars/restaurant/shops are at the bottom of the road yet you feel so tucked away and cant hear any passing traffic or... More

We had a very pleasant stay here at this centrally located, homey, friendly, slightly quirky B&B. The place is an beautiful, old Alsatian timber-framed house with many staircases and hallways. It can be quite a climb with luggage but the hostess lady grabbed one of our bags and led the way. Our rooms were large with minibars, air conditioning, and... More

We stayed at the maison Jund for two nights (in the "chambre mansardée", on the 2nd floor). The Junds have been wine growers for generations, and their place is a beautiful, timber-framed mansion house, a farm where they keep producing their own Alsatian wines (so, be aware, wooden floors and staircaises everywhere and no elevator). The house is in the... More

This bed and breakfast is a very good value. The staff is very helpful and the wine tasting was much appreciated. It is well-situated in the heart of the old town. The breakfast was basic but very good. The coffee was also good, which is a must! A refill was also welcome. We stayed in room 6. We were pleased... More

This is a fourth generation family owned functioning winery, with some rooms added to create a steady stream of income. Room we had was spacious and clean. Right in the heart of Colmar. Free parking on street between 6 PM and 7 AM, then free parking at a lot only five minutes walk away. The GPS on our rental car... More

We had a wonderful stay at Maison Martin Jund. The apartment was nice and the breakfast was great. Miriam was most helpful from the time we arrived. It was interesting to chat with the other guests. The hotel is easy access to the center of town with lots of things to see and do. A great experience.

Lovely masion appearance, good location and accessed to town attractions, shopping streets and Monoprix easily, one of the host Seba was very kind and helpful. Highly recommend to stay at balcony apartment, we cooked at well-equipped kitchen and dined at attached balcony, we had peaceful and cozy life during our stay.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2015

We (five adults) stayed in the attic apartment of the old Maison Jund mansion for five nights. After all the great reviews of the hotel in general, I was expecting something a little nicer than we got. I suppose I should have known that "quirky" and "charming" are at best ambiguous descriptors. On the positive side, the apartment was indeed... More

4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2015

I'm torn between giving this place 4 and 5 stars. The rooms are a bit worn down and in need of some love, but I actually found that kind of charming. This is a mansion that Rick Steves describes as "ramshackle," though I used the word higgledy-piggledy to describe it. It is very quirky and unique, and I absolutely loved... More
