Booked this hotel for three days for its location as I wanted to treat my friends to a special birthday treat visiting the beautiful area. I have stayed in many Novotels so knew what standard to expect. What a disappointment from the outside the hotel looked shabby, tiles missing and untidy. We were given a room in a separate part... Colmar is a dream of late medieval timber framed buildings in a maze of twisting lanes and ways that fan, spider web-like from the cathedral, over flower-decked bridges down to the perfectly pretty, Little Venice. The Novotel Hotel is a short drive out of town to the airport alongside the Strasbourg motorway, and there, beyond the runways are the illuminated... More

A bit disappointed when I saw out Hotel was not "in" Colmar, but it was a very nice Hotel. Good wifi, great swimming pool and even though we were by an airport...I heard no planes. Walk in shower was a plus. Good restaurant within walking distance and we even had sandwiches from the bar--- great food and a great price.... More

The day we stayed was hot and so the aircon in my room was welcome. The hotel is rather odd and seems made by joining up old airfield single storey buildings. The room was adequate but not as good as most Novotels eg.the wallpaper was hanging off the wall in my toilet. I could see that there was a refurbishment... More

I agree with ripleytrain - this place does look like a motel at first view and it is not the prettiest hotel. However, it does get better. In terms of the value for money it was good - we paid for 3 nights at an average of £69 per night with breakfast. At this price I would stay again as... More

This hotel was a big let down. It is an old single-storey 1960's US motel-like complex badly in need of rebuilding. Our room was in the second complex and had a damp smell with a poor bathroom and WC. We were told that we could pay €15 for a "superior" room in the other building, that was exactly like the... First impression was not good from the road - resembles a motel however everything got better once you entered the reception. Room was perfect for our family of four and all the rooms are on the ground level making the transit of bags from our car to the room really easy. They offered a special family chicken meal which was... More
