We booked this hotel based on other guests' reviews. It did not dissapoint. I couldn't find anything wrong with this hotel. The location is great, right in the center of the old city, waling distance from the main attractions, Petit Venice, the Cathedral, the Interlinden museum, shops and restaurantes. There is a free parking lot two blocks away and the... More

The hotel is charming from the outside and the location in old Colmar is just perfect. The hotel doesn't have a parking lot but one large public lot is in walking distance. The rooms are very clean and remodeled, the beds are comfortable. Service was very friendly and helpful. We stayed 4 nights (2 rooms) and used Colmar as our... More

They say location is everything, and Hotel Saint Martin certainly has a perfect location! Walking out of the door each morning was a delight, faced with historic half-timbered buildings, fountains and tons of colorful flowers every way you looked. Some of the great things -- just 29 rooms and ours (#19) was quiet yet with a lovely view and windows... More

Overall quality of room (especially mattress) not that good so wouldn't stay here again but had some positive points (superb location, decent shower, safe in room, and guest computer). Most of staff was friendly enough (Martina great) but did give me old bus schedules that had changed. Breakfast was a good value and extensive - eggs (and cooker),assorted meats +cheeses+breads+pastries+juices +teas, cereal,... More

I and my family stay in the hotel on Oct 15, 2014. The hotel is located in the center of the city and easy to go to interesting place in Colmar. On the day, we arrived, my tyre have a problem and we think it might not safe for driving without do nothing. The staff called Avis for us and... More

You could not get a better location in Colmar than the Hotel Saint Martin. It's located on one of the main streets in the old town, completely central and about a 5-10 minute walk to the newer town full of chain stores, and a 5 minute walk to the "Petite Venise" neighborhood...so you dead center in the midst of everything.... Contrary to some other reviewers, we liked this hotel a lot. Location is great, right in the heart of the town, walkable to everything. Lots of restaurants nearby. We had an upgraded room with a big (for Europe) double bed, a lovely balcony and good-sized bathroom. Wi-Fi worked fine and breakfast was good. The lovely lady at the front desk,... More

We stayed in room number 27 for one night, it was on the top floor of the hotel. Initial impression of the room was a nice modern bathroom and very quaint looking bedroom with wooden beams across the ceiling and so on. The bed however was as hard as a rock, the ground would have been more comfortable. It was... More

We arrived on a Saturday afternoon, so the town was busy with tourists, but parking was a nightmare. There is no hotel parking, and public lots nearby were totally full. Lots of one way streets make driving in Colmar difficult as well. The hotel is an historic old structure, but the room was in need of updating. The bedspread was... More

I will say that the location is good for visiting the old part of Colmar and for restaurants in the area. After that, however, there is not much good to be said. The room, an upgraded superior one, was smallish but the size was not really the issue. The hotel is very shabby. Carpets are worn and stained wall paper... More
