We have stayed here for one night during the weekend. The hotel is gorgeous, from outside and inside (old building, with a lot of stairs and hidden corners). Our room was small, but clean and pretty! Nothing to complain about! Maybe a bit noisy, but as already mentioned: it is an old building! The staff is very friendly and helpful!... More

The first impression was very good.... I booked also a Gourmet dinner in the Restaurant. Room was big with a nice poster bed facing the small river.. Clean enough. Disappointed about the dinner and the breakfast.... Dinner was good but absolutely NOT a Gourmet dinner... breakfast poor.

In a Picture Postcard location like Colmar I could not imagine staying anywhere else. I read every review of all of the accommodation in Colmar and changed my mind at least 5 times but as soon as we arrived at the Hostellerie Le Marechal I knew I had made the right decision. It is in a brilliant location. The room... More

We had booked a family room and a gourmet dinner; the hotel didn't disappoint. Beautiful outside architecture, lovely mood lighting, quirky room configuration, it all worked. The location is hard to beat with canals, covered market and cathedral a stone throw away. The ambiance was particularly welcoming as it was Valentine's day and the decoration was just lovely. The service... More

This property was very well located - only a short walk to the town. It was also only a 15 minute walk to the train station. We didn't eat at the hotel's restaurant as it didn't appear to be good value for money. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby. The breakfasts were quite disappointing - even the coffee was... It's a historical hotel. Older and distinctive decor, smaller rooms and bathrooms. Free WiFi in the lobby is better, but worse in the room. The hotel's restaurant is tasty, especially Région Alsace style meals. Particularly recommend their local beer and postprandial handmade desserts. 5-10 minutes walk to the town center and the church.

That is the fourth time we stayed at the hotel and as always, we loved it. Certainly this is an excellent option for who wishes a romantic and cozy hotel at the heart of lovely Colmar. My kids loved the hotel's atmosphere. Our rooms were tiny but very cozy, with several small windows staring at both Petite Venise and the... More

Old style building, very nice and historic inside. not your modern hotel chain, but worth to me as gives you a different feeling I was lucky to have my room on the river side, and had great view from my room. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic The only downfall I could see was the stairs and the maze corridors you... More

Overall the hotel is nice and near to the city center. The meals at the restaurant (for breakfast and dinner) are excellent. Presented in the nice way with a high quality of service, the food represents the local touch. They also have a good collection of wine. The restaurant is a must to visit in the city. However, the room... More

Very Small room. There is no space to leave the second hand bag we had. the bathroom is very small and the standing jacuzzi not practical at all.The toilet is in a room, within the bathroom, which is so tiny that I couldn't close the door (5'7). Plus , when flushing a rain of toilet's water was coming out and... More
