We were not disappointed with the Colombier. After staying at a "charming inn," with old furniture, no AC and few amenities, we were ready for a modern, well appointed hotel in historic Colmar. The weather was hot (close to 90) and the AC was borderline for handling that, but way better than none at all like in so many European... more

I stayed two nights at this hotel with a friend, it was a very cute place but upon booking we were booked a small room with a single bed so we had to upgrade to avoid sleeping in same bed, we had the loft suite which was just okay for a "suite", my friend slept in the upstairs room which... more

We stayed in hotel for 1 night. Hotel is in a nice location and has a modern/up to date room. Our room overlooked the courtyard that had a waterfall and it was very quiet. We had a rental car and had prearranged parking. The staff assisted us with parking in their private garage for 10 euros a night. Getting the... more

My daughter and I spent one night here and felt pampered as we'd been staying in B&Bs in other locations. The hotel is in an old Colmar building on the edge of the heart of the old city, yet inside it is very modern. The stone spiral staircase leading to the rooms is stunning. There are goldfish swimming in a... more

We stayed in the off season so we got a wonderful deal on the room. It wasn't as small as typical European hotel rooms tend to be. The room was simple but comfortable and the bathroom was roomy and comfortable as well. Overall it was a classy for the price list. more

Stayed for 2 nights in room 18, great room at the back of the hotel. I found we had no noise in this room, it was a large room, oddly shaped but that added to its uniqueness! The staff were excellent - especially Valerie! If you need a recommendation for a restaurant etc she is more than willing to help.... more

We stayed at Le Colombier for 2 nights and had rooms # 22 and # 32. The hotel was in the middle of a (re?)painting job (warning posted by the elevator - scheduled to end before the end of Feb.09); room # 22 was somewhat affected by strong smells of new paint, especially in the hallway. Besides this small disturbance,... more

As with other hotel selections, we chose Le Colombier after checking TripAdvisor comments. None of them had prepared us for the unusual character and charm of the hotel - a cool, modern interior behind the ancient facade, with contemporary art works in the rooms and public areas. For a five-night stay we had a good-sized, very comfortable room overlooking the... more

Good location although if your room is facing the front it was noisy. Our room no 12 was tiny for the price 138 euros, although the bathroom was big with nice fittings. Thought they could have included the continental breakfast in with the price but they wanted a further 12 euros per person. Found two nice Salon de The instead... more

A great boutique hotel in the old part of Colmar at Petite Venise. Very good value for money. I've seen some reviews which say the breakfast is not worth the money, but my experience was quite different. A great selection of the usual cold breakfast buffet. Good value compared to other breakfasts we had in town. Our room was right... more
