The location is easily within walking distance of the old town and the river. The hotel is a beautiful old building, with a lift (a little scary), but modern appointments. The room was a decent size, but the "double bed" was a small one and my husband and I cuddled a little closer than normal! ;) But we had a... More

The Hotel is very close to Belfort centrum. Though a little old fashioned rooms are confortable and big enough. Breakfast sved at hotel is not very rich and is a typical french one. Carpark of tha hotel is an advantage.

I booked the hotel for an overnight stay to attend FIMU (International music festival) I managed to get a twin room for 81 euro, 50% discount, right in the middle of the festival! The room was quite upmarket, as was the rest of the hotel, albeit a bit on the small side. Breakfast was offered at 14 euro per head... More

If you have to stay in Belfort, or around you can choose without problem this hotel 4 stars. The rooms are bigs and confortable, the bed really nice. The hotel is nice, located in a old building, and you can feel there the real charm of France.

We loved this hotel. So much charm and character throughout! Staff very friendly. Our rooms were huge and very well equipped. We drove from the UK, parking was fine around the back of hotel. Breakfast was €13 so we went to a bakery across the road and brought pastries! Would stay again!

We stayed for one night on 20 September after visiting Le Corbusier's masterpiece church at Ronchamps about 20 minutes away. We hadn't been able to get accommodation closer but were rather glad that we ended up in this interesting garrison town with its impressive fortress. The hotel was far grander than expected (if a little faded) and a little difficult... More

Travelling through Europe, I had a family gathering in the region, and randomly found this hotel, well located in the downtown part of the city of Belfort ... Great and very professional welcome ... Got in late, needed a iron that was given to me immediately ... The rooms are great, provided with all the necessary items and breakfast was... More

Definitely to go and have a look at the impressive 19th century hall. The rooms however are very basic - clearly needing refurbishing and no air conditioning. The restaurant is closed - but that's no problem as there are ample restaurants available in the centre of Belfort only 10 minutes walk from the hotel. Free Wifi but it's not working... More

I was a little sceptical about this hotel, having read the reports, but it was perfect for what we needed. We spent one night in a room directly opposite the Lion de Belfort on the night of the 13th July 2013, where we had a bird's eye view of a fantastic firework display to the music of Edith Piaf. The... More

you should arrive after sunset so hat you can catch a glimpse of the glamorous facade and the gorgeously decorated warmly lit windows hat welcome you to a cozy stay.
