Stayed one night midweek and chose them based on location. Very friendly place. You check in at the bar and I paid £44.95 for single occupancy in a double room. Room was reasonably clean and the bed comfortable. Food was excellent and good value (try the black pudding and crispy poached egg) and there's a good choice of real ales.... More

Myself and my boyfriend came here for Sunday Lunch as we have lived in the area for several months and have yet to go there for food or drink. Unfortunately we left quite disappointed. We expected a lot more, The pub itself and interior are wonderful; cosy, intimate, overall a great vibe. The staff and food however, really let the... More

You get what you pay for. We paid £40 for a Saturday night. The room was clean and comfortable enough (no toiletries supplied though) and in a brilliant location for central Manchester. However if you come in a car the parking options are really limited anywhere near the hotel. The major issue is the noise from the pub below. If... More

Stayed here again as I was perfectly happy with the last stay. Not as good this time I'm afraid. I'd booked the room some 2 months prior to my stay through www.laterooms.com and got a rate of £49.95 for a double room (single occupancy). Not bad for a Friday night stay in December Checked in after work at around 5.15pm.... More

Stayed here for the first time last night . It is spotless , warm, welcoming and I will be staying again. Just a couple of little tweeks needed, the mattresses are uncomfortable we could feel the springs in both mattresses which is a shame because that's what is most important when staying in a hotel. Also the food looked amazing... More

I have been drinking at this pub many times.... when I struggled to find accommodation in manchester this week I was advised to call The Ox... The price was excellent for a double room, single occupancy at such late notice, £39.95..... The feel of the pub and accommodation is modern, clean cut and very friendly. I did not feel out... More

The food is very good quality and good value; staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are dated but very clean, shower has plenty of very hot water and good water pressure....but guys, the scaffolding all around the building???? plus no sign of workmen working on it???

The hallways stank of wer animals and jusy dirty but the rooms were lovely and warm and spacious. A bit noisey being near bars and stuff but... More

Great atmosphere and cosy hotel good beer, good service, but the wine is the worst i have ever tasted and charged at top price!.....they could use it on their chips for vinegar or in their cooking but definately NOT for drinking, I have tried all of them and whoever is the buyer needs sacking or be sent on a wine...
