This hotel brought back memories. Of emptying the befouled cat litter when I was a child. Calamitous check in - had given my room to someone else with same name, took half an hour to resolve, was given family room which was an 'upgrade' but then asked it I would go in a single room instead although they couldn't offer... Looking for a hotel in the city centre to stay over after a Christmas party Premier Inns etc were on average £100 so I looked a little out of town and found the Lansdown. Easily accessible by bus (approx 20mins) and a good price (£40) Be aware you are paying a cheap price for a cheap hotel The foyer and... More

I'm afraid that this is one of the worst hotels I've been to. The carpets are filthy and the fixtures and fittings should have been replaced at least five years ago. Perhaps the worst issue was the over-powering smell of air freshener. On the good side, the staff were friendly and helpful, but I won't be staying there again, and... More

Foyer is fine, but wiring looks a bit suspect. Corridors OK, room very shabby. No telephone, although it is advertised in the brochure in the room. Overhead lights only, no bedside lights. Top of toilet cistern and foot of pedestal both broken. Extractor in bathroom not working, so whole suite misted up. Shower was good, with plenty of hot water,... More

We had a good stay - excellent value, cheerful staff and with a bus stop outside with zillions of buses. Comfortable rooms and bed - good shower. Happily recommend. Where Jcurlsalot got his/her opinion from is beyond me - must have been a different place - and obviously has time on his/her hands. Use them More

This hotel was perfect for our needs, didnt want to stay in the city for £80+£17.50 parking then have to get cab back to fallowfields so we opted to stay near to the bars and clubs in Fallowfield and walk. This Hotel is a perfect place to drop your gear go out, sleep for a few hours and check out,... More

I stayed here with friends after attending a wedding in the local area since all we really needed was somewhere cheap and cheerful to lay our heads for the night. After having my expectations lowered by other reviews on trip advisor I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were clean, the bed comfortable and the staff... More

After a hard days work on site we drove the 25 minute stint with hope that our beds would be comfy and our stay would be reviving. What we found was something that to this day we can ONLY laugh about. So we pulled up, outside of the hotel is a graffiti van which never moves, and a club attached... More

Stayed one night Toooo long (we only stayed the night) If it hadn't of been for the few drinks we consumed in our room I don't think we could of stayed - 4 of us shared 2 twin rooms. Ist room (312) small ok, but ill fitting curtains where we had to use the towel to cover gap in window... More

The Lansdowne is a low cost, budget hotel but none the less we pride ourselves on providing clean and comfortable rooms for our guests. At any point during your stay did you mention any... More
