This hotel is trying so hard to be cool it occasionally forgets to look after its customers. The hotel is very centrally placed just off Deansgate and close to all of Manchester's lively shopping and nightlife. If arriving by car it is best to pre-book valet parking at £25 per night as there is little available public parking locally. The... More

Beautiful hotel. Booked during "afternoon tea" week, booked on line with a 25% discount. Greeted by front of house receptionist, who made us feel very welcome, we were shown to the 3rd floor, roof terrace, which was lovely. Warm welcome from waitress, prompt pot of tea and pot of coffee. Table was set out and is a mix of plates,... More

We were booked in for one night prior to a wedding and were not disappointed. A wonderful boutique hotel, each room was unique, spacious and beautifully decorated, loved having a mezzanine floor. The staff were very friendly and the home made cookies in room on arrival are a very nice feature. There is a fabulous rooftop terrace with lounge, bar... More

I have stayed here 4 times now. It is by far the best hotel in Manchester, if someone wants to visit a hotel with no personality, no history and no charm then the Hilton is down the road for the same cost. If someone wants to have an ideal location with every room being individually designed with there own charm.... More

Lots to like. Good rooms, lovely helpful staff, great location, mega afternoon tea, cool rooftop bar, super breakfast. Almost a 5 but I think a couple of minor things could be improved. That said, it's very good.

My stay was just overnight on a brief visit to Manchester so I didn't experience much of what the hotel has to offer, but what was provided was very definitely 5*. My duplex room was split into two levels, a downstairs lounge and bedroom combined, and a bathroom suite upstairs (twin roll top baths, wash basins, monsoon shower and loo).... More

Great location and absolutely fabulous rooms. A unique and decadent decor coupled with excellent service throughout, made for a faultless weekend break. Will definitely be returning for another visit!

Parking is tight at front of hotel but luck was upon me and managed a place right in front. From Entering the Hotel the staff where very Cheery and attentive. 1St impression upon entering is WOW. Very relaxed atmosphere and not a corporate mass produced Hotel feature in sight. Everything seemed to be perfectly hand picked, Not the Cheapest but... More

My husband and I had our wedding reception here in April (a bit late in posting review) and we really could not have asked for a better experience. Everything from the preparation leading up to the day to the day itself was fantastic. Carla and the team at GJS were exceptionally accommodating, friendly and went to great lengths to ensure... We had a baby grand room, and it was wonderful. Tastefully decorated & the mezzanine floor made the room different from other hotels. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, we had our 2 yr old son with us, and they were more than happy to help. There were home made cookies waiting for us- which were delicious. The location for... More
