This is my favourite hotel in the UK, it's always a pleasure to visit. The rooms are all quirky and different & much larger sizes than the average city hotel. Attention to detail runs throughout the hotel, afternoon tea is a must. Breakfast is great with a massive choice & all freshly cooked off a menu. I can't wait to... More

A group of colleagues and I had the great luck to visit Great John Street last week. Unfortunately we did not get to stay as we had a group of Event Management students with us but we will be back. Eamonn and the team at Eclectic Hotels took time out of very busy diaries to meet with students and talk... More

Stayed here for a work overnighter, with afternoon meeting beforehand. Hassle free valet-parking, not cheap but I suspect most of the charge is the car-park charge you'd pay anyway. One very nice touch was the bottle of water left in my car afterwards: this may have been accidental, but I very much doubt it. Bedroom was excellent. One of our... More

I've never slept on bedding or pillows like it, the room was chic with a mezzanine bathroom. Room 39. The hotel was very nicely kept. Staff were attentive and helpful. Wifi free and good speed. Problems ... View was of an office block so we kept the shutters closed, wine was average and pretty outrageously priced, breakfast was above average.... More

Hotel booked by my company for group of us to stay one night and host dinner for clients. Boutique style makes a very nice change to the corporate style hotels we get used to. Location right next to Coronation Street tour/Granada Studios. My room was accessed from the ground floor but up an internal flight of stairs so that it... More

We Had a second floor room. The function on roof top terrace was very noisy until 1am. Then the staff spent ages moving the furniture above our head until 3am! The room was lovely and quirky, But clearly designed by a man, there was no dressing table, mirror for make up and no plug for hair dryer etc by any... More

Nothing not to like ! 10 out of 10! Entering the room it was warm cosy and had classic music playing the staff are very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. I have very happy memories, the bar is excellent welcoming and the bar man again was friendly and very happy to chat. This place is not at all... More

Found this on Laterooms, reviews looked very good and price was very good compared to other hotels in the area. Only stayed here for one night, but what a hotel this is. The hotel is stunning as you walk in and staff very nice and helpful. I booked room 14 because it had a rolled top bath in the corner... More

Thanks GJS for a very pleasant, quiet evening and quality bar meal when we called into Manchester to meet with our son. Good service, good choice, good food. Meal and drinks for three at seventy quid. Just fine thank you.

Absolutely amazing afternoon tea! You must try it! Such good value, and yummy! The sandwiches and cakes were fresh and you must try the gentlemens version with pie and chips! The scones were the best I have ever had! Recommend to everyone! Best afternoon tea in Manchester!
