Stayed for one night after watching Cats at the Opera house. Hotel was in a great location and not too far from the opera house. We stayed in a Classical Grand room and loved how it was a duplex. The bed was really comfy and the roll top bath was a nice touch. We'd like to try the eclectic room... More

I stayed at Great John Street last year with my partner for our first night away after having our first child. We were recommended this hotel by a good friend. The staff were amazing with us and the hotel itself was immaculate. We stayed mid week so it was not too busy. The rooms are gorgeous and the separate level... More

We had been bought a voucher as a Christmas gift for Afternoon tea for 2. We were made to feel very welcome by the staff .The food was excellent and the service was excellent. A lovely venue. We were on the mezzanine floor/library which had old school photos on the walls.

Tried to book before and was unable to get in but visited today with my friend who had booked as a birthday present for me and we weren't disappointed. We were early- had been worried about parking but it wasn't a problem and we parked right outside the hotel- but this was no problem and we were taken to our... More

Having previously stayed at Great John Street Hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our stay on my birthday (25th January) we returned for cocktails with our daughter. We arrived at 12.40 and were asked at reception if we had a reservation to which I replied that we just wished to visit the bar.( At this point we had discussed lunch too.) The... More

I treated my husband to a night away at Great John Street hotel for his birthday in January, it turned out it was as much a treat for me as for him. The hotel is a little tucked away gem in the city centre located near to (the now closed) Coronation Street tour. Walking into reception you know you've arrived... More

Apart from something in the air con unit buzzing very loudly once every 20 minutes (all night) keeping us awake every so often, and the breakfast order being wrong - I ordered the full Irish but got a full English, not a real problem, it was brilliant. Great staff on reception, especially the young Irish lad whose name I have... More
