Beautiful building some of (not all) the reception staff very rude and unwilling to listen, standard double very small with nothing to impress. Old fashioned bathroom very STANDARD. Bed room Tiny. Balcony - 3 flags and a steel railing. The grounds are a 5 min round walk but very look impressive until you walka round, what you see is gorgeous... More

Owned by Manchester University, Chancellors has a slightly institutional feel but the rooms are spotless, comfortable and quiet, if a little compact. Tranquil leafy location on the Fallowfield university campus with free parking. Excellent breakfasts included. Overall fantastic value and only a few minutes from the City centre. Free wi-fi in the public areas but unfortunately not yet in the... More

I was at Chancellors for a work meeting, so i had not chosen the hotel. Check in was straight forward and quick. My room was on the second floor and there is no lift, but i suppose they wouldn't put you up there/ move you if you had mobility difficulties. My room was clean and warm - just what i... More

I stayed at Chancellors Hotel as part of a 26 person group for training. It is on a main bus link from Picadilly gardens bus station in central manchester and takes about 15-20 mins, the nearest stops are those by Owens Park Campus. You can of course get taxis to and from the hotel. The rooms range from singles to doubles... More

A very good location, close by bus route for city centre and for airport. It's very convenient for visiting my daughter at uni as it's 2 minutes from halls! On arrival, there's good car parking and it's well off the main road. The welcome is good and the room comfortable, not too much space but the bed is fine and... More

Very clean and modern. The rooms were slightly small but were fine for a few nights. We stayed he on New Years eve after celebrating in the city, we didn't get woken up by any drunks and had a great sleep. Breakfast was brilliant and lots of free parking. More

This hotel was a huge pleasant surprise! We arrived to a very warm welcome. The room was a tad small but it was clean and modern with ensuite (what more coud you want)! We had afternoon tea looking out over the absolutely gorgeous gardens. The tea was for 2, consisted of tea/coffee, sandwiches, scones and clotted cream and a selection... More

Reasonably priced. Had a double room as single, so more spacious that single room users quoted, but still a bit awkwardly arranged due to shortage of power points. Free broadband, so fine for laptop users (and it was fast) - wifi only in reception areas for phones, I-pads etc. Very comfortable and welcoming. Not close to Picaddily as suggested (about... More
