In my years of travel I have never stayed in such a terrible place! The reception is awful (the girl working there was angry at the world it looked like), the rooms are filthy, no fluid water lines and the beds were harder than a rock! The location is not bad and the price was low (10 pounds a night)... More

I stay only one night "thanks god" because I couldn´t sleep in that place call mattress but it was only springs... The shower was covered of fungi and seemed the ceiling would fall. Awful experience in the city centre... More

I stayed in The Walkabout Inn recently as I was attending a football match at Old Trafford. The hostel itself is located a short walk from the bus station and is only two tram stops away from Old Trafford. The room itself was fairly clean, although the ceiling tiles in the bathroom were eroded from damp and there was no... More

Cheap accommodation in central Manchester. Was grand for what we needed. Guy at reception desk when checking in was sound. Think he was up from the Liverpool Walkabout More

We stayed over the weekend (Friday-Sunday) and had a double bedroom on the 4th floor. The bar/club downstairs was a bit noisy, but you could bear it...and the room was nice...simple, but you can't ask for more at that price I guess. A good improvement could be postponing a bit the checkout time, and maybe having a locked room to... More

I have attended this hotel as part of 3 stag parties (1 my own) and I annot express how good it is. The hotel is reasonably priced so dont go expected 5*, but you get what you pay for. You get a hotel adjoined to the Walkabout bar which enables your group to be slightly roudy without causing the hotel... More

Stayed in a double room. Basic but clean. We payd an amazing value for a nights stay in Manchester. This is basically a hostel, but I definetely suggest if you don't want to spend much money. great location in the Centre. Lift didn't work and some rooms had problems with water flood, but the guilty was of some others occupants... More

Stayed in a double room. Basic but clean. It was £40 for the room so £20 each is amazing value for a nights stay in Manchester. Been going out in Manchester for years so picked this Hostel for its great location in the Centre. Lift didnt work but only had a light bag to carry up to the 6th floor.... More

We decided to stay in the walkabout for a birthday weekend. We booked a double and a triple room. It is in a perfect central location and is the cheapest place to stay in town. Our rooms were made up in the day which we didn't expect and the rooms were clean enough. I have to admit we were pretty... More

The Walkabout hotel is below the Walkabout bar just off Deansgate in Manchester. It's in ideal location being underneath the Ozzie themed bar and 100m for two express supermarkets. It is within the city centre so transport to all the major attractions is no problem as you can walk or hop on the tram. The hotel itself is clean and... More
