I don't know how anyone can be proud to work there 1 filthy dirty bedrooms flea infested beds 2 Filthy dirty bathrooms and toilets 3 The reception staff smoking when we came back at night and it wasn't tobacco ( ie drugs) 4 Hookers lurking outside the doors trying to bring business inside 5 Credit card fraud by hostel staff... GOOD: Cheap bed, great location, lovely people on the front desk, ok free breakfast and good kitchen facilities, good wifi in communal areas. BAD: smelly room (18 bunk bed), only one window would open, loads of condensation, dirty floors, all rooms felt muggy, dirty bathrooms even though it stated that they were cleaned every 4 hours. Take ear plugs with... More

We stayed for 1 night, and we had a twin room on the 5th floor, which had a tv, comfortable beds, great showers located close to the room, and the staff were very friendly, and let us leave our luggage in the luggage room until our departure for the airport. Its not grand, but for what we paid we had... More

I chose to stay here because of its great central location - right by Piccadilly Gardens and the Northern Quarter. I wasn't happy about having to spend an extra £2 to use a towel, they're usually given free or the £2 would be a deposit. The female bathroom was fairly clean but massively untidy. There was toilet roll and sanitary... More

I am writing this as I lay kept awake by a loud snorer. .. can't complain about that as what do you expect in a Hostel? However, I went down to reception and asked if I could move room. The guy behind the desk had poor English and I had to repeat myself several times. He then just rudely came... More

Hey, I´ve said in the Hostel one night and it was really nice. The bathrooms and rooms are clean, there is free breakfast (cornflakes, toast, marmelade, coffee and tea), a TV room and every night a different entertainment programm. I really liked that they had a secure locker room with numbers, so that not everyone could take your luggage. The... More

Sleeping at the Hatters is not expensive at all. You can have a breakfast if you prepare it yourself and wash your dishes. You have to rent a towel if you need one, to go to the patio to connect your phone or computer to the wifi. The beds are not extremely good, but they are totally clean. It was... More

This place encourages people to get together on their pub crawls. A nice kitchen available with a seating area. Maps for the town. Wi-fi everywhere. Marko the big guy behind the desk makes it feel safe at night when everyone gets in. Overall for the price you can't beat it. U would stay again and even recommend it. Btw Edinburgh... More

Friendly staff on check in, room spacious even though it was six beds. There were only male toilets on my floor so I was not able to use them and I find it unacceptable that I should have to go to a different floor to use the toilet especially at night. On the pictures it showed they had curtains on... More

I stayed here for 2 nights last month and greatly enjoyed my experience. For the little you pay you get so much! The beds are comfortable and fellow travellers quiet and considerate. You also get breakfast included!!! They have lockers but bring your own lock unless you want to pay to hire one. The staff are always on hand to... More
