The staff are very friendly and helpful on arrival. The hostel was very clean and beds were comfortable. We stayed in a 12 bed dorm. Was full at the time. Was alright, get what ya pay for I suppose, only downfall was the amount of rude people turning lights on during the night. Pretty good hostel alround, definetly stay here... More

All surfaces were dirty. The mattress was the bed spring and I could feel every spring. The doors bang shut at all hours. The shower is totally separate from the toilets, which are in another room. There is no security at all on the women's shower, no locks whatsoever. The chairs in the TV lounge wee ripped and fitting. Totally... More

Only stayed the one night but I don't have a bad word to say about the place. The staff were friendly and helpful and happy to help and the rooms and showers were clean and the hostel was in a good alternate pub/bar area Close to Piccadilly train station, was only a short trip to old Trafford and £20 to the... Though booking was a bit difficult, the stay at Hatters was perfect. The Hilton Chambers are well situated, the hostel was clean and the common rooms perfect for a chilled evening. Shared rooms could be a bit noisy in summer with the windows kept open, but what else to expect from a busy city such as Manchester.

I had a bad experience and it really colored my view of the place. I had left some very expensive, very nice clothes in a shower room after having a shower then when I went back they were gone. I asked the staff about this four times over two days', they kept lying saying they had no idea but would... More

I only stayed here one night to catch and early flight from Manchester airport but I had a wicked time and the staff were great in particular Maddy from the bar below and Eva who runs the bar crawl! The discounts for the bar downstairs helps too ;) Will be staying again if I'm ever in Manchester.

I don't usually do hostels but as i could actually book a single room for £32 I was in. Check ins at hotels are now a big issue as to wether I go back again. This was very quick and easy and painless. I have spent 40 minutes at major chain hotels where they make it so difficult. You do... More

I was looking for a cheap place to stay for a few nights while working. The reception staff were very nice the hostel had a nice kitchen, the beds were comfortable, but there was very little room to put my bags, and the shower wasn't very clean. If you are looking for a cheap place to stay to explore Manchester... More

The hostel is an alright place to rest your head. The dorm and toilets were clean. The mattress wasn't the best and we found it quite noisy at night. There aren't enough power plugs so you'll be lucky to get something charged. For a nights stay in a fantastic location the price is very cheap. Pros: Clean dorm/showers/toilet Cons: Lockers... More
