Stayed with a few of my friends for one night midweek, price was reasonable and the place did the perfect job after a night out, clean and a very handy location for nightlife and shopping, would stay again for sure.

Overall I thought this hostel, the first I've stayed in for years, was great. I booked a single room at the last minute because it was cheaper than other options near the city centre. The room was on the 5th floor, which was a bit of a pain, but I guess quieter than the lower floors. It was very small... More

We booked a private ensuite room for a very good price! So I cannot tell about the dormitories. It is a budget backpackers accommodation, but the standards are quite good. It is very central and in a very good position. Our bedroom was huge and the bathroom as well. The staff are helpful and very kind.

The hostel itself was adequate for the price. However, the first night we were kept awake by 6 drunk german men next door till 2 am. The second night we were kept awake till after 4.30 am by loud music and shouting by 4 drunken scots next door. I realise that hostels are not for me.

I stayed here in a 6 mixed dorm for 2 nights. The room was spacious and enough plugs. Beds were quite squeaky and mattress very old - I could feel the dip in it and the springs! Bathroom situation is bizarre.. female on levels 2 & 4, male on 1, 3 & 5. Meaning you have to travel up or... More

Thanks for your review! Our building does have a bit of an identity issue; on the one hand we love the charm that this former hat factory holds within its fixtures, yet this means that some things are in need of a modern kick. But we aim to find the balance! And our four Hatter's hostels are being improved one... More

GOOD: Cheap bed, great location, lovely people on the front desk, ok free breakfast and good kitchen facilities, good wifi in communal areas. BAD: smelly room (18 bunk bed), only one window would open, loads of condensation, dirty floors, all rooms felt muggy, dirty bathrooms even though it stated that they were cleaned every 4 hours. Take ear plugs with... More

Thanks for the review! Glad that you enjoyed our goods ;) We do do our best to keep things in ship shape with our housekeepers doing a rigorous 4 hour clean of the bathrooms each day, but we understand that dorm life can get a little rough around the edges at times. And for the snorers or car horn enthusiasts,... More

We stayed for 1 night, and we had a twin room on the 5th floor, which had a tv, comfortable beds, great showers located close to the room, and the staff were very friendly, and let us leave our luggage in the luggage room until our departure for the airport. Its not grand, but for what we paid we had... More

We're very happy to hear you enjoyed your stay here. Our twin rooms do enjoy a pretty good view of the city center (or the TV, whichever floats your boat) at the small cost of a lower body workout. But for any luggage, staff are more than happy to give the bags the grand tour of inside the elevator. More

I chose to stay here because of its great central location - right by Piccadilly Gardens and the Northern Quarter. I wasn't happy about having to spend an extra £2 to use a towel, they're usually given free or the £2 would be a deposit. The female bathroom was fairly clean but massively untidy. There was toilet roll and sanitary... More

Thanks for your feedback. We like to offer as much as we can free of charge, including our breakfast, nightly activities, wifi and much more, but in order to ensure we are giving you the most competitive rates, rental of things like towels is a necessary evil. But the good news is that there's only a one off charge, so... More
