The new direction has really improved the quality of the staff, the rooms and the general mood in the hotel. The accent is over the customer freedom and independancy. The breakfast is delicious and the cook really nice ! The rooms are clean, and delicate attentions such as serving tea and coffee are always offered. The staff is really welcoming... More

The hotel was horrendous; there was no lifts or bell boys to carry heavy luggages for customers. The reception was locked; a staff member had to come unlock it before access to the reception was granted. The staff's attitude was uncaring, unconcerned with me. The rooms were a catastrophe; the sheets were filthy and unwashed, the interiors of the room... More

The hotel is now under new management and has recently been refurbished. The staff were friendly on my very late arrival and although the first night could have been a better experience the matter was resolved quickly and efficiently by the manager" Maz" .Consequently my remaining days at the hotel could not have been better. The breakfast staff were also most obliging.,and... I read the reviews here after being booked in and arrived with some trepidation. I was greatly relieved. The hotel has just been refurbished and is under new management. My room is clean and newly carpeted and decorated. the staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly. It is a basic hotel, but it is kept clean and the breakfast was... More

I was worried after reading some bad reviews about this hotel, however after being advised it had recently changed hands my partner and I thought we'd give it a go! The accommodation was basic. The service however was good and what prompted me to write a review. The gentlemen on reception on the morning was particularly helpful, chatty and smiley.... More

My friend and I booked The Imperial hotel as bit of a last minute as we got tickets for a Man Utd game. When we first arrived there was 2 women at the reception. They barely said a word and struggled to crack a smile between them. We headed to the room up stairs where the carpet was a hurrendous... More

This is the worst hotel i have every stayed at, every thing was disgusting and dirty, They should never be allowed to sell rooms in that horrible disgusting state. Rats and other vermin have left because it is that bad. The breakfast was nasty, soggy sausage, weird tasting egg bacon was ok baked beans ok, best bit was the drinks.... More

Same as the recent reviews, dirty, shower was mouldy and the shower curtain was stuck together probably from lack of use. I'd guess it's used for DSS. There was no remote for the tiny TV and I made the mistake of moving it forward to press the control buttons on top - clearly the only time it had been moved... More

The worst hotel i have ever entered! Dark with a musty smell. There is no bar as it shows in the pictures that room is now derelict. Holes in the sheets and mold on the shower curtains. When asked for a refund the man at reception did not seem surprised...the end
