My friend and I booked The Imperial hotel as bit of a last minute as we got tickets for a Man Utd game. When we first arrived there was 2 women at the reception. They barely said a word and struggled to crack a smile between them. We headed to the room up stairs where the carpet was a hurrendous... More

This is the worst hotel i have every stayed at, every thing was disgusting and dirty, They should never be allowed to sell rooms in that horrible disgusting state. Rats and other vermin have left because it is that bad. The breakfast was nasty, soggy sausage, weird tasting egg bacon was ok baked beans ok, best bit was the drinks.... More

Same as the recent reviews, dirty, shower was mouldy and the shower curtain was stuck together probably from lack of use. I'd guess it's used for DSS. There was no remote for the tiny TV and I made the mistake of moving it forward to press the control buttons on top - clearly the only time it had been moved... More

The worst hotel i have ever entered! Dark with a musty smell. There is no bar as it shows in the pictures that room is now derelict. Holes in the sheets and mold on the shower curtains. When asked for a refund the man at reception did not seem surprised...the end

I booked this hotel as it was near to the academy and was cheap! I read the reviews afterwards..:/ and was dreading it. They where right it was very shabby and in need of an update, with lights not working and holes in the side of the bed. BUT it was warm and clean (apart from the shower curtain) and... More

A friend and I stayed here after attending a concert at the nearby Deaf Institute. We were planning to stay in the Travelodge on Upper Brook St but as we left it too late, it was too expensive. The room we booked in this hotel was £50 - in retrospect, I wouldn't have paid £1.50 for the room we were... More

This hotel should be closed down! It's filthy and smells foul. I booked a night here with my two children for a relatives wedding. The paper was hanging off the walls, it was mouldy, holes in curtains, dirty sink, toilet and shower. Graffiti in wardrobe and wardrobe door was ripped off and leaning against wall. Lights smashed and not working.... More

I stayed here with my friend because we were attending Manchester Gay Pride weekend back in 2012. It was okay, it wasn't spectacular. But you are booking a budget hotel - we stayed Friday, Saturday & Sunday and paid "£25 per head per night" so it wasn't too bad - considering how the pricey that area was around the pride... More

My boyfriend and I needed a place to sleep for a few hours as we had missed the last train to get back to Glasgow after our flight. We were told about this hotel and called up to see if they ad any rooms available as everywhere near the hotel was fully booked. We reserved a room and got to... More
