The hotel is now under new management and has recently been refurbished. The staff were friendly on my very late arrival and although the first night could have been a better experience the matter was resolved quickly and efficiently by the manager" Maz" .Consequently my remaining days at the hotel could not have been better. The breakfast staff were also most obliging.,and... I read the reviews here after being booked in and arrived with some trepidation. I was greatly relieved. The hotel has just been refurbished and is under new management. My room is clean and newly carpeted and decorated. the staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly. It is a basic hotel, but it is kept clean and the breakfast was... More

I was worried after reading some bad reviews about this hotel, however after being advised it had recently changed hands my partner and I thought we'd give it a go! The accommodation was basic. The service however was good and what prompted me to write a review. The gentlemen on reception on the morning was particularly helpful, chatty and smiley.... More

My friend and I booked The Imperial hotel as bit of a last minute as we got tickets for a Man Utd game. When we first arrived there was 2 women at the reception. They barely said a word and struggled to crack a smile between them. We headed to the room up stairs where the carpet was a hurrendous... More

Same as the recent reviews, dirty, shower was mouldy and the shower curtain was stuck together probably from lack of use. I'd guess it's used for DSS. There was no remote for the tiny TV and I made the mistake of moving it forward to press the control buttons on top - clearly the only time it had been moved... More

The worst hotel i have ever entered! Dark with a musty smell. There is no bar as it shows in the pictures that room is now derelict. Holes in the sheets and mold on the shower curtains. When asked for a refund the man at reception did not seem surprised...the end

I booked this hotel as it was near to the academy and was cheap! I read the reviews afterwards..:/ and was dreading it. They where right it was very shabby and in need of an update, with lights not working and holes in the side of the bed. BUT it was warm and clean (apart from the shower curtain) and... More

A friend and I stayed here after attending a concert at the nearby Deaf Institute. We were planning to stay in the Travelodge on Upper Brook St but as we left it too late, it was too expensive. The room we booked in this hotel was £50 - in retrospect, I wouldn't have paid £1.50 for the room we were... More
