We booked this hotel to spend a quite weekend. It was my wife's birthday. To start with our satnav took a Wilmslow road no where near this hotel. The address and postcode needs updating. Reception was pretty straight forward. None of the receptionist knew about the post code. After formalities we were asked to go to our room. We wondered... More

Booked a room for two nights through an internationally well known internet based hotel booking agency. Had to cancel. Cancellation made a full 23 days before first date of reservation. Confirmation received. On return from China noticed £65 taken from bank account by this hotel. Checked small print and asked directly for monies taken to be returned. Their response was... More

Many of the reviews on here slated this hotel and I was concerned that I had done the right thing by booking. Thankfully I was pleased. The hotel reception was clean and tidy and the staff were cheerful And helpful. Our room was small but clean and comfortable. Our first night we ate in the hotel restaurant. Food was delicious.... Tiny ugly dirty mouldy rooms with low ceilings, falling apart furniture and fittings. Bathroom is too disgusting to adequately describe. Just so gross I am at a loss for suitable words! Was booked for a work event, would never, ever pay to stay here myself. In fact, if it was free I wouldn't stay here! My skin is crawling, just... More

Good location but the whole complex is in desperate need of a face lift. Mould in the bathroom, no aircon, noisy rooms etc. The gym was good as was the pool but the relaxation area should be condemned. Didn't stay to find out how good the breakfast was and as I checked out early (6am), I couldn't get a vat... More

I have read many reviews of this hotel and in fairness some are on the mark while others concentrate on the negatives. While it is true that a lot has been spent on the leisure side and public areas some of the rooms would benefit from a refurbishment. But for hotels in this price bracket that is not unusual and... Not going to write a lot because I would get finger ache if that's possible!!!! Don't stay here, it's rank! If it wasn't for arriving late then I would of drove home 110 miles and returned back for work the next day. Blood on the mattress visible through the bed sheet topped it for me besides everybody else's bad comments... More

I wish I had read the reviews before I booked this hotel. Having read them now I can only agree with what has been said. So for the positive, the staff are the best thing about this hotel, especially the young people who run the bar and restaurant. The food served is very good. However there are not enough staff... If you are visiting a city, it's nice to have a great hotel, but not critical, especially if it's just a place to sleep. The beds here were clean and the surrounding area is peaceful, but the amenities that you may expect or desire for the prices that they charge in high season (we were there in July) are a... More
