i wasn't looking forward to my stay at the didsbury after reading some of the reviews, totally unfounded, the staff were very helpful, we came in at 3am had orderd a take away, the guy on the reception ran up to our room to let us know it was here, the room was clean, location not so good for town... more

After reading the other reviews, if i had been able to cancel and get my money back i would have, but i couldn't, But to be honest if ws better then i expected. If you book this and want to be near Manchester city centre, maybe this isn;t for you, but if you don;t mind a bus journey then its... more

As all other reviews are saying that "its only a Travelodge", point taken, but some small standard of cleanliness should be expected. I stayed here and was afraid to touch anything in the room. I pulled back the upholstered chair to sit on and was left with grease on my hand. Im amazed after reading other reviews that i also... more

We have returned today after a two day stay in Didsbury Travelodge. I booked it then saw the bad reviews on Trip Advisor so was a little apprehensive. I need not have been. It was a bit complicated finding our way into the car park in the dark but our stay there was excellent. The two young ladies who were... more

Ok, where to start...... Let's start with the room. Blood stained duvet, along with other stains of a dubious nature. Ripped sofabed. Various mold/brown patches on ceiling (I'm hoping they were mold as they smelt BAD!). Bathroom which stank like a urinal with additions of broken tiles and mold. Holes in walls , some plastered, some painted ,some not.... Shower... more

We had booked 2 rooms here for the night before our daughter's graduation. We arrived about 11pm after a long journey and found chaos. There was a young inexperienced lad on the desk and he was the only staff; he had great difficulty deciding which rooms to give us and finding the keys; when we reached the rooms ( 3rd... more

The only redeeming feature about this hotel is its proximity to the public transport - trains to the airport and the city centre, buses to Didsbury, Stockort, the city centre and many other places. The room was very shabby and dirty, the bathroom had someone elses hairs in the sink and bath, and was also very shabby and dirty. The... more

We stayed at the Travelodge Didsbury in December 2007. It was 3 girls who were having a Christmas party in Manchester and this was all that was available locally. The hotel itself was standard Travelodge quality - basic basic basic. Nothing different to any other budget "stay-over" I have been in - and I have used these quite a lot.... more

An unusual stay in a hotel for me. I checked in at about 12:30am and checked out by 03:30am for a flight from Manchester Airport. The hotel has a 24 hour check-in and friendly staff. My room was clean and quiet with minimal furnishings . I didn't opt for the £5 extra charge for the breakfast tray of cereals etc.... more
