This place has its own parking. Which is a godsend as its near a hospital and the university. Only 10-15 mins walk to Oxford road, Manchester Academy and infamous curry mile. Great museums nearby as well. Bit of a trek into the city though. The hotel has been upgraded which meant we had very comfy beds. Doors a bit heavy,... More

Stayed here for the night to see a concert in Manchester . Very over priced!! £117 for one night! Didn't include any extras like dinner or breakfast! Room basic. Had to ask for extra teabags extra . Bed ok but pillows terrible. Tiny TV. Crap kettle. Staff didn't speak great English . Mix up when we had dinner! Brought wrong... More

We were visiting our daughter at university. Clean and utilitarian, at £119 a night (including breakfast) it wasn't cheap. Good points - close to city center and university, secure car park and friendly staff. Bad points - small and basic rooms (one plastic chair) and our room had a screen outside the window for the privacy of the people who... More

Very clean, bedrooms are as you would expect, we were on a quiet side but i can imagine some areas were pretty noisy. Secure free car park which was worth its weight in gold. You are only 1 mile approx from the city centre and China town, very central. We parked in town, but you could easily get a taxi... More

Been there four nights to work at the University. This is a typical city Travelodge: well situated, cheap, clean, organized. My room was extremely quiet. The view nothing spectacular (a nearby NHS hospital parking lot) but the cost was the lowest in town excluding very old and rusty hotels. Distance from Piccadilly Station is 2 km. University is there. Downtown... More

I stayed here while attending a two night conference at the University of Manchester. If you are visiting the university or someone at Manchester Royal Infirmary then the location of this hotel is perfect!! The rooms are basic but this was to be expected considering the price and target audience. I was disappointed at the lack of a bath though... More

Rather depressing location, not realistically within walking distance of anywhere nice TV did not work properly and staff could not provide a list of available channels, even though 'loads of people ask' Bed linen none too clean Chilli nachos were vile - the guacamole was green, plasticky mayo and the chilli was reminiscent of brown slop No bath mat and... If you pay the additional £10.00 to check in early at this travelodge do not assume you will be able to check in at 1200. I was informed when I tried to check in at 1200 that paying the £10.00 in advance online did not mean I could check in at 1200. I was eventually checked in at1300. This meant... More

All in all a very convenient and comfortable over night stop. Clean and comfortable, not many frills but then again you aren't expecting any. Not sure about pricing as it seems any city centre hotel is expensive these days and I'm probably not a good judge and we did book very late.

Perfect location for an Academy Gig. Newly refurbished so the rooms and bathroom were spotless. Comfortable bed and quiet nights sleep. Rooms are basic, but provide all that is needed for a stopover. Car park secure, which is nice when you are staying in a city centre. Can't check in before 3 unless you pay a £10 supplement, but we... More
