I've just spent four nights in the Lowry. It's my first experience and it's been a positive one. The room I stayed in was comfortable, and spacious. I had a deluxe riverside room, which was armed with stuff to make my stay enjoyable and comfortable. For example, there's a DVD player, iPod dock, TV with music on demand in every... More

We spent a weekend here, shopping and museums that sort of thing. We got a terrific deal through a website and paid two hundred and fifteen for two nights. It doesn't look very promising when you drive up but you can park right outside and they are friendly and helpful. The room was good, big and well apportioned although I... More

I spent a delightful weekend at the Hotel at the end of April to celebrate one of those "special" birthdays. The welcome from the hotel staff was excellent as you would expect.. but the Restaurant was another level up... The staff were engaging and charming with a genuine interest in ensuring we were happy with our dinner..... Lovely food.... Can't... More

I stayed at this hotel one Saturday in March 2012 and I have to say this hotel is the standard to which all other hotels should espire. From the moment that you are welcomed at the door to the moment that you leave the staff cannot do enough for you. My partner and I stayed here on our Anniversary weekend... More

Overall this is a great hotel. Really close to centre of Manchester with the MEN being a 10 minute walk. Service at check in and reception was super and being able to park at the door and let the concierge park the car is a nice touch. Staff in the bar and restaurant were great and always had a smile... We've stayed here once before and eaten at the restaurant as well. Back then, it was good but a little characterless. This time our stay was great. Not sure what they've done - but keep it up! The surrounding area isn't great but when you pull up at reception, the doorman greets you, sorts the luggage and parks your car.... More

We go at the restaurant at 9.30 on Sunday evening. They tell us the restaurant is closed, one hour before the time it should (10.30). When asked, the staff does not know the opening times and they look like they can't be bothered at all. In the restaurant there are literally three couples. Kind of bad for a place that... More

Stayed here for one night last Tuesday for the Fashion Kicks event in Manchester. This was also the base for Westlife and some of the footballers from Man City. A concierge ran to collect our bags from the car park and once checked in we were offered his uses to take our bags to the room. Really gorgeous stylish room,... More

I've been a regular visitor to the Lowry over the last six years and still believe its the best that Manchester can offer, with a contemporary feel, good service and an excellent restaurant. However some of the public areas are really starting to show signs of wear and tear... the wooden parquet flooring in the Restaurant are looking very shabby... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for your honest review. We do as with all hotels suffer from general wear and tear, however we have a constant rolling refurbishment program that targets the areas that need the most focus. We have just completed a refurbishment in another 40 bedrooms and have also replaced the corridor carpets on two of our six bedroom... More
