This is a fantastic hotel. 1st class service - polite and courteous staff, nothing was a problem. Forgot my mobile charger....they charged it and delivered to room, plus they sent me somethng that I had left in my room after I had checked out. Staff used my name when addressing me.. A definate 5 star service, not a good 4... more

Excellent location, helpful and friendly staff. Bedrooms are spacious and plush. Room service food was good quality and plentiful, which often we find to be poor even in the better hotels! Evening room service staff were exceptional (sorry forgot her name, but we think it was Sharon?.) Ok there is one negative - the drinks in the bar were very... more

The hotel was nice enough. The room was big and clean and functional but felt a little sterile to me. There was no tea facilities but you could get tea or coffee to make your self by calling room service. How bizarre is that and what is the point? The things that really coloured my view of the hotel unfortunately... more

There are two complaints about this hotel. 1. It's overpriced. 2. Every single one of the bottles of white wine was warm when it arrived - more than a little disappointing. That said it is literally two minutes in to the main shopping area and therefore many nice restaurants and bars with chilled wine!! more

Lovely hotel. Very tastefully decorated. Rooms are spacious and extremely comfotable. Communal areas kept clean and tidy. Room service breakfast was fantastic. My only complaint is it's a nightmare to find... But that cant be blamed on the hotel!!! more

We booked the dinner, bed & breakfast package as it seemed fairly good value for the 5 star rating. Although it's a nice hotel, I'd say it's a more of a good 4 star. Am glad we didn't pay extra for the view of the canal as it wasn't that nice to be honest (rather ugly buildings) I'd requested an... more

Agree with previous comments about bathrooms being small and shower over bath, although good powerful shower and everywhere was very clean. Staff at spa very helpful and a lovely relaxing experience at breakfast on Sunday morning. Restaurant Manager was very polite and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. Normally stay at the Radisson when... more

Haven't stayed much at the luxury end in the past, but after paying 170UKP for room only we balked at an extra 20UKP each for breakfast. Nice warm welcome, but when I asked on arrival where ice was to be had I was informed that it was available, but would cost 5UKP. Not sure what US visitors would make of... more

Staying at the Lowry for work during Conservative Party Conference. Despite the hotel being very busy the service was excellent - every request met immediately, and staff incredibly courteous. Together they made what is a gruelling experience so much easier. Full marks and big thanks! more

I must admit, I did very much enjoy my time at the Lowery -- the rooms were spacious, amenities fairly nice and gratuitous, the quality of service great... that is, until I met the head concierge. He was a very surly man and hard to deal with at times, and judging by some previous reviews of the hotel, I was... more
