Staff are brilliant, they cannot do enough for you. Rooms are fine, pretty much what you would expect. Breakfast well worth the money. The difference is the staff, everyone was extremely friendly and couldn't do enough for you.

We stayed here for one night and I must be truthful I was nearly put off by some of the reviews. When we got there I was more than pleasantly surprised to see how good it actual was. The staff were very professional and helpful also cheerful which means a lot, to me it means that they enjoy their job... More

The warmth, friendliness and ingenuous nature of the staff more than compensated for any shortfalls in the ambiance of the building. Yes the carpets and corridors are a little tired. There again, the hotel is being used, it's to be expected. Perhaps not located in the most salubrious of areas but it was within 15 mins walk of where I... More

This hotel was very quiet at the time of my visit. I found the hotel decor to back in the 70s. The staff were very slow to serve you at the bar and the reason why was as follows. The woman serving at the bar was also the lady who checked me in and was also the lady who brought... More

The location of the hotel is slightly out of the way - it was about an £8 taxi from Manchester Piccadilly station. The staff were lovely and couldn't be faulted - polite, friendly, and helpful at all times of day whenever I saw them or needed anything. The hotel itself - not so wonderful. I stay in a lot of... I found the hotel to be clean, presentable and comfortable with attentive, professional, polite and friendly staff who made me feel welcome straight away. With the exception of a loose handle to flush the toilet in the bathroom in my room (this seems it could be fixed easy enough) and some of the other guests being noisy during the early... More

A standard Travelodge, in a slightly out-of-the-way location, but very handy for a one night stop. External soundproofing very good, internal not so great. Very clean, and good service from reception and the bar.

I always stay here when I'm going to gigs in Manchester as it's situated close to the Apollo and a short taxi ride to the Academy. Nice reception layout and the bar is open all night. The only issue I have ever had, was with the walls being too thin, heard a bit more from the other guests 'enjoying themselves'... More

My partner and I wanted to spend a couple of days in Manchester without breaking the bank. This hotel was perfect for that. It was really easy to get to just off the motorway, and only a 10 - 15 minute stroll to Ashburys train station and when it is only £1.70 return to Manchester Piccadilly it was a great... More

Clean and comfortable. Ideal for overnight stay when attending concert at Manchester's O2 Apollo. Room small but not a problem because all that mattered was a bed for the night. Excellent value at £29!
