We recently visited as a place to stay near the 02 Apollo. It's well within walking distance! I was worried about leaving my car here after reading the past reviews. (My car is my pride and joy!) it was fine! Don't listen to it. The staff were helpful, I actually got a good nights sleep. Yeah it's in a rough... More

We stay at Travelodges, when we travel, for two reasons: you know what to expect and the price. It is easily the worst of the lodges from many points of view. We always book well in advance for two people and yet we had just one set of towels. Unbelieveably, this happened also on the second day. Judging from the... More

Don't come to this hotel if you want a peaceful sleep. Great if you want an all night party with entertainment in the rooms and hallways. The bed is the most uncomfortable bed you will ever sleep in and the noise did not stop until 5 am in the morning left on the second day to go to another hotel

A good hotel at a reasonable price but,due to other guests shouting down corridors throughout the day and night, sleep eluded me. Good breakfast and close enough for a concert at the Apollo but Travelodge let themselves down again by not looking after its customers. A regular security patrol would end this issue - over to you Travelodge ...

Had a great 2 night stay. Hotel clean, staff friendly and helpful. In fact the other guests were very nice and friendly too. Although its outside of the City it's a great place to stay to explore Manchester.

Stayed over recently for a gig at the nearby Apollo. Was a little worried having read some of the previous reviews, but all this came to nothing so don't worry. Greeted at reception by a very friendly member of staff who directed us to our room on the ground floor. It was a disabled room so was very spacious. Everything... More

Well maintained building and parking areas, polite and friendly staff though first thing they mention is have you paid for the parking. However the hotel was not signposted and the room was poorly lit. Bed was soft but clean and comfortable.

This Travelodge is not up to the standard of other Travelodges we have stayed in which over the past few years has been quite a lot. The bathroon was mouldy and antiquated, the bedroom was cold and unwelcoming, the staff were inexperienced and unhelpful, if parking on site take a torch as you have to enter your registration number and... In dire need of a refurb'. Our room was shoddy, tired and in need of some TLC. The bathroom required some remedial attention and the stairwell and corridors were 'scruffy ' at best. The staff however, without exception were all very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The hotel should be renamed Travelodge party central not sportcity though as late nite early... More
