On the whole, the Little Northern Hotel was a disappointing experience. We were given a double room on the first floor right above the pub. As other travelers mentioned, the pub is very, very loud (think of inebriated senior locals wailing off-key karaoke from 4 p.m. until late). The noise from downstairs was unbearable as walls and floors are paper-thin.... More

Just got home from a shopping trip in Manchester staying at this hotel. This hotel is basic but serves its purpose well if your looking for a simple room to stay in. The hotel is very central with only a few minutes walk to Arndale centre and Picadilly square. Shopping is basically on its door step! The staff are very... More

Stayed here on a Friday night, was going to a concert at MEN. Good location as was near, was put on the first floor in a tiny room with two beds the room was absolutely freezing! The radiators obviously did not work that's why their was an electric heater. Tried that and that did not even work! It was so... More

Second time I've stayed here and think it's great! Stayed for one night on my own just while visiting the city. Booked a single room for £35 - got there and was given a double room with a recently done up ensuite shower room. It's not a classy place - no hairdryer, ironing board, etc but the bed's are so... I stayed here on Saturday night and it was OK. For £35 I wasn't expecting much but it was clean and the owner was friendly. As it was the Superleague final hotel prices in Manchester were greatly increased and so this was a bargain. As regards the pub it was a down to earth old fashioned Manchester pub.I had a... More

We stayed here for the recent morrissey concert and throughly enjoyed our stay and slept fine possibly as we were at the back of the Millstone. we didnt get chance to stay in the bar for a drink downstairs but it was very busy and lively with live music on at the time. There are also some great bars and... More

First of all the Little Northern hotel is just a few rooms over the Millstone Pub. This is a place with character, it is a very friendly, very crowded, very noisy pub with music going on to 2 or even 3 in the morning. The staff are very friendly, but the rooms are quite small. Our room, a twin, had... More

Stayed here in June, and would not recommend anyone to stay here unless you really want to slum it !!. We were taken to our room to find three beds and that was it, no ensuite, just a shelf with a kettle !! no storage space "Oh sorry" just a rail with a few coat hangers on, no curtains just... More

Staff is lovely and helpful but the rooms are over a very very very loud pub. The signing and partying went on late in the night. My room had no window no fan no A/c. If it had been any hotter it would have been unbearable. For 50 pounds this is overpriced. The owners should be Ashamed they sell these... More

Stayed here in March with a friend and I have to say I will never be back. Its in a great location but so not worth your while. The beds were stained with what looked like blood and urine. The shower was just awful it ranged from freezing cold to boiling hot and the noise of the toilet was a... More
