Stayed here for one night. It is very handy for the Etihad football stadium and also short walk from the train station. Taxi into the centre only cost £6. It is clean but very basic - it did all it needed to do and was good value for money.

Central location, clean and functional, decor a bit tired, rather spartan given the price for a night's accommodation, good quality and good choice of food and drinks at breakfast, comfortable bed, pillow and quilt, blackout curtains worked really well. It started so well... but the claim of sound proof rooms did not apply to the corridors and I had trouble... More

Stayed at Ibis portland Street for a night out with work. My room (201) reminded me of the 1980's classic series Prisoner Cell Block H. It was grim. Small, rough walls, old worn and dirty carpet and a bathroom that was a moulded plastic shell with dirty marks all over it. Added to that there was an awful smell of... More

Stayed here a couple of nights on a work trip recently. Central location is very convenient for the Gay Village area and also for Chinatown so there are loads of eating places nearby to choose from. Also handy for the St Peters Square stop on the tram. Q-Park almost next door if you need a car park. Check-in was quick... More

This way my first visit in the UK, so I've chosen a known hotel brand. It is the same quality and look as any other Ibis around Europe, however a bit worn but very clean. Check in was fast, just like check out. The staff was nice, excellent service. Breakfast was basic, but good. Location is fantastic, combined with the... More

Very close to the coach station and easy walking distance from the bus or train stations. We booked in to the hotel early. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and bed very comfortable. Breakfast had a great selection. Public area was pleasant and there was free wifi throughout the hotel, they even offered the use of... More

We have been here for work, it a really ugly hotel, with old fornitures and really small room. The bathroom was unbeliveble, a large sliding door that can't be locked and the bathroom was small and made in plastic like the ones on the train! The position was good and central. See you, Dario

Booked at this Ibis because it was quite close to the town centre. The service was great on arrival and the room was nice and clean. The only downside was we was on the street side and it was a noisy road, however the staff did provide us with earplugs. The breakfast was nice and there was plenty to choose... More

Stayed last night Nov 15th for one night. Its just ok but over priced we paid £92.00 for the night then the breakfast on top. Not worth the money but compared to other hotels for a one night stay on a Saturday suppose its the going rate. Room clean bed comfy all just ok nothing to rave about. Breakfast over... More
