Spent a night there. Looks more than an university dorm, than a hostel. Yet it's located in the centre of Manchester. Do not expect much, yet considering the price it's ok. You may wanna bring ear plugs though since the trains make it loud each time they pass by (200m from the place). Wi-fi is available, yet not free of... More

My girlfriend and I have stayed here for two of the three nights I've paid for so far. With four beds per room and a tiny bathroom from what could be from a fishing vessel. We were separated due to not wanting to pay 74 pounds per night for a double. When I looked in the bathroom, there were hair... More

This stay was the highlight of my 2-week trip through Europe. The staff was courteous through every interaction, specially the girl at reception (Chelsea) to whom i asked most of my queries. The rooms are spacious, clean and modern looking. The Wifi service is non-stop and with excellent speed. The bathrooms are super clean and have adequate room for movement.... More

A nice hostel overall, with clean and tidy rooms and communal areas which include pool tables, seating areas a cafe and kitchen. The staff are friendly and willing to help with requests. Lockers are available in the rooms, but you must bring your own lock. In terms of location, it is in a nice region on the canal, with several... More

Everything was right with this hostel, although more plug points in room would be very useful, and maybe some sort of safe storage for a charging phone whilst sleeping, haven't stayed in many hostels So maybe I should learn to trust more.... But other than those two small points everything else (location, bed, space in room, communal areas, staff) was... More

Me and my friends stayed here in December 2015, The hostel is what it says on the tin, very clean and modern. And the location in the heart of old industrial Manchester and within 10 minutes walk to deansgate was awesome !!! I will Definitly return

No complaints here. Didn’t spend much time in the accommodation but the beds were comfortable and everything worked fine – the bathrooms reminded me of the type you get in a cabin on a ship. Within easy walking distance to the city centre.

Stayed one night whilst attending convert at MEN arena. First youth hostel experience and it was brilliant. Staff really helpful. Right by Deansgate train station. Rooms spotlessly clean and nice and warm. We had private room with own bathroom. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again...

I stayed here one night before a conference. The room was a decent size and very clean. There were storage lockers for each person and a decent number of plugs. The beds are the best I have ever found in a hostel- firm and bolted to the floor, so you wont be woken up by the person sleeping above/below you... More

The YHA is okay to stay, but the kitchen was a bit dirty, even at 10 pm. I booked a 4 person female room ensuite. Shower and toilet was nice and clean. One of my roommates had her bedlight on untill 1:30 am, so the rest of use couldn't sleep. Bedlights are a bit to bright. Had cooked breakfast was... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review, we’re really sorry to hear you found the self catering kitchen to be dirty. The self catering kitchen can have quite heavy use and as in all hostels customers are asked to clean up after themselves, however our team also do regular daily checks, clean up as needed and record...
