We just come back from a two night stay at The Pendlum Hotel. The room was very clean and compact, and everything was there. The breakfast was great and the staff very helpfull. The checking staff were very helpfull and friendly. The lady who works on recp and comes from Bolton was great. We would stay again.

Stayed for 1 night whilst attending a concert. Excellent value for money, the breakfast was lovely. The staff were helpful. Would definately consider staying here when we next visit Manchester. The room may have been slightly small but it was just right for what we needed. We were very impressed

Thank you and we hope you enjoyed your concert. It’s rewarding to read how impressed you were with our hospitality in terms of offering excellent value for money, a lovely breakfast and helpful service. Our compact ‘City-Doubles’ are our smallest double rooms and ideal for a short stay. Our ‘Classic-Doubles’, ‘Twins’ or ‘Exec Suite’ rooms do offer more space if... More

I stayed three nights in the pendulum in June. The hotel was nice and clean great location. The double room was quiet small. The breakfast was delicious and the waiters were very helpful. However the reception staff were very unprofessional and unhelpful, I asked one staff member a question about paying for the room, they didn't seem to understand the... More

We are pleased that you found our hotel to be nice and clean and in a great location of the city centre. Your ‘city-double’ room is our smallest double, which we describe as compact and ideal for a short stay in the city. It is also good to read that your breakfast was delicious and our waiters were very helpful.... More

Originally built as post-graduate accommodation for UMIST and still semi-detached from Weston Hall this is a great centrally situated alternative to Holiday Inn Express, Ibis or Travelodge. There is an amazing Foucault pendulum in the lobby (well, it was built for UMIST!) and lots of communal seating around it. Rooms are in pairs or sets off short corridors so there... More

Thank you for offering valuable feedback and a range of positives about your stay with us. Whilst Manchester does not have a 6 lane motorway running through it, you may be referring to one of the A roads in the city. We are a little puzzled that other guests do not report any disturbance to the level you are indicating... More

When I got to the hotel late at night there was I problem with my booking. I had first booked via booking.com but then canceled because I found a better price via the hotel website. They could not find my reservation (even if I showed them the email of confirmation their system sent me) and the guy made jokes, trying... More

We are often praised for our friendly and helpful approach to service. It is certainly rare to read of your frustration whilst checking-in. We understand that our reception team offered humour to lighten the situation whist finding a suitable room to book you into – we are very sorry if this has been misinterpreted as rude, which would never be... Stayed here a few weeks ago while away on business. Hotel was nice, with a good location and a very unique layout. The conservatory bar and outside courtyard was really nice to sit in and have a couple of drinks. Unfortunately for both the hotel and I, my stay coincided with the record breaking temperatures the UK received a few... More

Thank you for sharing your experience. We are pleased that you thought our hotel and bar were nice, in a good location with pleasant and helpful staff. Whilst you did enjoy the large selection on offer for breakfast, we do hope to improve on the coffee for you next time you stay. We look forward to extending another friendly welcome... More

We held our annual staff event here in 2014 and the service was great - felt fully supported and kept up-to-date on the run up and then the day went really well. Due to the style of the venue, we stayed on after the event for drinks in the garden area which was a good option for anyone wanting to... More

Staff very friendly . Rooms have everything except air conditioning only had a small fan and windows are restricted for opening . Bit run down in places needs a bit of decorating . Breakfast was nice . Wouldn't class this as 4 star more like a 3 star.
