Room was larger than usual, and really comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was buffet style and good quality. Location great. We walked all around the centre and back, no need for a taxi etc. Some car parking , but next to a pay and display car park, you can pay with your card.

spent two nights at this hotel and really enjoyed it. This hotel is one of the most welcoming ones we have ever stayed in. The reception and bar very cozy and welcoming and our room was lovely with a comfy huge bed. Would highly recommend it and would certainly return another time as it is a perfect location for city... Manchester City centre is an absolute nightmare to get around by car at the moment as every road seems to be dug up or closed or just diverted somewhere else for no reason. This hotel looks like it's off the beaten track but is absolutely perfectly located 5 minutes walk from Spinningfields and 10 from Deansgate. The rooms are great... More

Had the Marriott V&A as an option on a business trip for a company related convention so it was (in my eyes) a natural 'no-brainer' choice. I arrived on a weeknight and was checked in with ease and professionalism. As I can see again with the likes of this class and location of hotel, the reviews are varied and haven't... More

On the surface, the V&A Marriott presents itself with a degree of aplomb. It looks good from the outside and has all the hallmarks of a great, if corporate, hotel. Stayed here for 5 nights on a medical conference. Reception on arrival was very good. Rooms OK - some minor niggles but very acceptable on the whole Lack of free... More

In this day and age, it seems absurd to have to pay £16 for a days worth of wi-fi, when we emplaned- we were told wi-fi is free downstairs in the public areas, and it would be changing next year if you're a member of 'the Marriot Loyalty scheme'…. This was on top of the £16 we had to pay... More

Stayed here in Feb 2014 and don't have any complaints. Clean room, friendly staff. Rooms are reasonably sized and the breakfast was very tasty. Good location, 5 minute taxi to town. One small niggle was that for a Marriott I would have expected the gym to be on-site.
