I stayed here one night whilst traveling to Manchester on business. The property looks great; it has a historic feel, with the exposed wooden beams and low-rise architecture. The view of the river from (some of) the rooms and the restaurant is nice. The location is fine--relatively close to the city center and within walking distance of restaurants and shopping.... More

It's easy to find fault no mater where you stay. But the Marriott Rooms were well appointed clean and comfortable, with TV, tea & coffee facility, and breakfast was very very good value, fresh and well presented. Make sure you push for complimentary WiFi or you'll pay a massive £15 per day. Do not park in the hotel ground if you... More

This is my second stay at the Victoria & Albert hotel and after staying at a few hotels in the same price bracket now it's quickly becoming a favourite. The hotel was first built as a warehouse in 1844 so the features of the outside and the interiors give the place a personality and charm that is lacking in a... More

Although I live in Manchester and obviously do not need to stay at any of the hotels in the area, I did had a rare chance to try out the Marriott during an office conference. I enjoyed the 3 days at the hotel since it had great facilities and right smack in the city centre, which was great for exploring... More

We have stayed at this hotel before, unfortunately I have to say it's not as sharp as last time, although it was enjoyable. Sometimes it's the little things that make service stand out from the rest. Our room was great, in general the staff were friendly. The hotel is handy for Spinningfields but seems to have been left out in... More

Two night break without the kids so looking for a bit of luxury within an easy walk of central Manchester and this fitted the bill perfectly. Staff excellent from the moment we arrived to moving my car to the front door in the rain when we left - apart from the harassed breakfast staff....... just not enough empty tables so... More

Just got back last night from a 2 night stay at the Victoria & Albert Manchester. This was our second time here and absolutely loved it once again. From walking through the front door to the smile of the concierge, to getting help with the taxi on leaving for the station it was great. Ellianna on reception was such a... More

Stayed for one night, didn't use any facility's. But slept perfectly. The hotel building is gorgeous with its old brick and it old wooden beams. Perfect place for visiting the spinning fields area. The parking may seem expensive but it's less than the ncp car park.
