The hotel is situated in the center of Manchester and is very convenient, close to everything we wanted to see/do. There is some designer touch to it, and things the eye can play with. The bar downstairs is nice and the bartenders make excellent cocktails. Everything else.... I'd rather not remember - the place looked dirty, there was some heavy,... More

We got a really great deal on their website £99 for a nights stay, 2 course dinner and a bottle of wine. After reading some of the bad reviews I was expecting the worst, but everything was perfect. The room was spacious and comfy, the bathroom was nice and clean and had an amazing shower and nice toiletries. The meal... More

I went with some friends for the Sunday brunch. The decor is intimate and cosy making you feel welcome and the dining area is very comfortable with big comfy seats. We were quickly greeted by our server who was very polite and friendly and briefly ran through how the brunch worked, as my friend had been before, so it was... More

The hotel delivers a different boutique experience, dark decor and "cool" rooms, but then goes and ruins it with nonsensical food that suggests the hotel has a financial crisis. Why waste the opportunity and deliver poor food, especially the breakfast, it had as much life as a wet Manchester afternoon. A nice break from other sterile business hotels, but needs... More

this hotel is definitely one of two halves. The downstairs which I can not fault (well apart from obviously being a throwback to the blitz with the dark lighting) and th upstairs which drastically let the hotel down. I was staying as part of a work function and when we arrived the were shown down to the meeting room which... More

I visited here with a group of friends. The staff were of the highest standard, so professional and friendly and Laura the manager, took care of our every need. Our drinks were made with the most delicate attention to detail and the taste hit all the right notes. I cannot recommend the Whiskey Sour and The Spot of Tea enough!... More

A stylish boutique hotel which is very dark! Without being sexist I am a bloke without the need to apply make-up and I struggled. The room is moodily lit which is all well and good, but then fails on practicalities like being able to see your face in the mirror. Staff very polite and friendly. Main let down was having... More

We stayed her on a Sunday night special deal and upgraded (at cost) to a suite for a fraction of the normal price. I have to admit that we had to wait 45 minutes for the room to be ready, even though we didn't arrive until 1500! We were however given a free cocktail, which was very welcomed :-) note... More

Lovely hotel and very comfortable bed, bathroom fittings could improve a bit. The negatives as follows: - bathroom fixtures and fittings out of date a bit - missing pillow protectors all 4 pillows - yellow stains on my pillow - no complimentary water - lighting a bit too dark - no floor bath towel

Really liked this place. Good central location for everything the city has to offer and within walking distance of Piccadilly station. Quality toiletries in the bathroom, huge comfy bed, could do with ear plugs being supplied though as it can be noisy through the night and there is no double glazing.
