Three friends and I stayed at Renaissance for one night for girls shopping/dinner. Excellent location for shops/restaurants. Despite being busy, service was excellent and rooms generously sized and very comfortable. Car parking was excellent value at £15 for an overnight stay which, I think, could extend slightly over 24 hours as long as you were gone by next evening. Car... more

I was in Manchester for a weekend trip recently and enjoyed my stay in the Renaissance very much. I had a large beautiful room on the 10th floor which provided an excellent view across the town. The bed was one of the best I've ever slept in - extremely cosy and comfortable. The bathroom was ok and clean - will... more

Booked this after reading reviews, went to a concert at MEN and decided to stay over in Manchester as a treat for partners birthday. Firstly parking outside was a bit of a nightmare as arrived there at 5pm on a Friday evening ! hubby ran in and I waited in the car on double yellows but all went smoothly after... more

The rooms in this hotel are very spacious and clean but the decor is somewhat tired and dated. The food was good but I do have issue when the receptionists says how can I help without even looking at you. The man behind the bar was bordering on rude and if he is unhappy there should get another job. The... more

We stayed over on a Saturday night as we were going to see Eddie Izzard at the MEN and wanted a central location. Check in was very quick and easy - the valet parking was excellent meaning that we just parked right outside the door (in the rain) and took our bags in! My friend and I had a twin... more

Right in the heart of the City Centre, 5 min walk to the M.E.N arena which was our reason for visiting Manchester. We managed to book the hotel directly through the marriot website and got a King room with breakfast included for £88 and as the breakfast is £17 per person this has got to be a bargain! The hotel... more

Really central location in Manchester, walking distance from everywhere. Also, not noisy at all. Staff were friendly and really helpful. Our room (room 808) was fantastic! It was massive with two double beds, and a seating area. Beds were comfortable (great sheets), and the bathroom was clean and had a powerful shower. I would stay here again. more

Last minute booking to stay in manchester after a concert at the MEN arena. The hotel is literally just around the corner. Close to the shopping area too, just over he road from Harvey Nicholls. Large room with all the necessities. Comfy huge bed. Didn't have breakfast there so I can't comment on that. Parking for 24 hours is £14-... more

It is my first time staying at a Mariott Hotel anywhere in the UK and I have to say it was a very nice experience. The location of this hotel was unbelievably convenient, with the Arndale a couple minutes walk away. I stayed in one of the rooms on the 12 floor which had spectacular views over Manchester. The room... more

My Husband and I stayed at the Renaissance during the recent Conservative Party Conference. We had not stayed there before, but we found it suited our needs very well. The Reception staff were friendly, and the check-in was quick and efficient. The room was large with a couch and table at one end. Nice not to have to sit on... more
