We usually stay at other hotels regularly in Manchester but fancied a change! First time at Renaissance Manchester, in fact first time in a Renaissance despite being Marriott hotel fans! Clearly the hotel has been recently refurbished. Don't let the outside look of the building deceive you as inside is great. From the moment we pulled up using the valet,... More

An average hotel. The bedroom has been refurbished but was let down by the artex and patched ceiling and the odd peach coloured marble effect plastic sink unit obviously left from the old bathroom in a bathroom that had been modernised. Bar area is nice Wouldn't stay again

I decided to stay at the Renaissance because of my Marriot points, and I wasn't disappointed. Though the entrance isn't a lavish as some of the other Marriot hotels, inside there is much ambiance and clever use of space. I was given the top floors which was good, given the great views! It was also helpful because the train tracks... More

Reserved standard room with points. Had no expectations going in. Arrived right after noon. Chilled in lobby for a bit. Room ready shortly thereafter. Lobby had two sitting areas. Free WIFI access in lobby. Quick & strong. Given room on 11th floor. Great view over Manchester. Room: Huge. (Think: Enough open floor space for two people to do yoga.) L-shaped.... More

Like lonrp2008 review, this hotel is in a fantastic location. Nearly all of Manchester's landmarks, restaurants and shopping center are all nearby. If not, then there's a bus stop nearby in which Manchester City provides free shuttle buses around town. The rooms are quite big and clean but the toilets are a bit small. The rooms are clean but a... More

Fantastic location is what first comes to mind. There is so much to explore and thoroughly enjoyed a two day weekend break. Great service culture, fab design land even a DJ in house! All navigators - Jez, David, Jennifer, the restaurant manager everyone we met were brilliant. Wish I was better with names! Arndale, Printworks and even an amazing cathedral... More

Having stayed at a number of hotels in Manchester, i must admit that this is one of the best i have been for staff, rooms and food. Being a travel agent i am a right snob when booking hotels, so hence i always have honest reviews to put on. We had booked approx 5 rooms for a friends 40th birthday, not... More

Second visit to this lovely hotel in six months and it is great. The location is fantastic if travelling bus or train or car as the car park is under the hotel. From the outside the hotel does look good- but all changes as you walk in through the doors. `The staff are friendly and efficient and make you feel... More

Excellent rooms, all modern. Good location right in the centre of Manchester 15 minute walk from the Train station so easy access. Plenty of bars, restaurants and shops. Did not use the restaurant but it did look very nice.
