Everything about my stay here was not good except for the breakfast, which was really great and the only reason for the two stars. I stayed in the Renaissance two weeks ago. I arrived late in the evening due to late flight. The cab dropped me off with my luggage on the curb and I struggled to get through the... More

Stayed at the Renaissance for one night only as part of a hen do group. Check in was easy and quite efficient. Rooms were spacious, clean and well equipped. Additionally bed was extremely comfortable. The highlight of my stay was the breakfast - such a wide selection of food and drink and great quality. Really helped cure my hangover!! All... More

The decor at this hotel is totally dated and depressing. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. Our room was very warm when we returned at the end of the day. Called for maintenance and the front desk clerk came instead. It was 5 PM on Fri afternoon and we were told maintanence would not return until next morning,... More

The location is unsurpassed, in the heart of Manchester. The building is a bit sad. Check-in procedures were very quick, the staff was attentive. Room large enough. Amenities not that impressive. Bed too soft for my standard. Bathroom small and old-fashioned. Wifi (free) was slow. In general, everything seems to need some revamping. Breakfast OK (limited variety but very good... More

I would expect better from this Hotel. The position is great, 5' min walking from the city center. However the building is old and you can understand it from several things: the toilet flush did not work properly, the bathroom door did not close very well and the mattress was too much soft. No plugs close to the bed. Breakfast... More

Though the busy city thrives below the high rise building that is 'Renaissance' it is a magnificent place to go for peace and quiet. The staff are accommodating and the comfort of the room is top-notch. My stay was just what I needed.

Dated rooms, trading on its central location (which is noisy). Was booked into a junior suite by work whilst on a business trip - a slightly larger room with, bizarrely (this side of Bangkok), two double beds in it. It was worth £149 a night in the same way that Torres was worth £50m. The guy on the front desk... More

This is one of my favorite hotels in Manchester. The property is clean and well maintained, with nice rooms. The staff is excellent, both knowledgable and very helpful. From the front desk and concierge, to the bar staff I was really impressed with the folks here. The hotel is ideally located downtown with a large Buffett across the street and... More
