Stayed for one night on a last minute deal. Staff were very helpful and pleasant, particularly Jet on reception. Valet parking is available at £16 which is great price seeing as the car park close by is that price and not valet of course.... On arrival we were offered an upgrade for a minimal price which we opted for. Great... More

I treated my husband and myself to a stay at the Renaissance for his Birthday in May and a meal in Manchester. The hotel is lovely, the ladies on reception were very nice, friendly and helpful. From the outside I think it looks a bit drab, but really very nice when you walk in. We stayed on the 8th floor,... More

All the staff here are helpful and will do anything for you. The room I had was a little tired and in need of some tlc - as was I after spending a night in a room next to the lift shaft! I believe this hotel is due for renovation or rebuilding as the current lease ends at the end... More

Location is excellent, especially if you love to shop. Walking distance to nearly everything in manchester and cooler districts too. We learned that the hotel might be scheduled for demolition and won't be remodeled so expect a shabby sheek room. If you can get a deal this is stay-able. Def request a room on the riverside if you prefer quiet.... More

Firstly, the location of this Renaissance is great, right in the middle of Manchester City centre and very easy to find from the train station. The hotel staff on check in were not the friendliest, and actually presented me with the wrong change, I had underpaid the room by £9. I had to tell the Woman and she then gave... More

I have stayed here a few times before and went back recently. The hotel hasn't changed much in a while, but the restaurant area off reception has had a makeover and it looks good. The service is always excellent here, with friendly staff. I ate in the restaurant, the food was delivered promptly and was great. The rooms are a... More

On first day of arrival we had to change rooms. The second day we had no hot water or heat all until the next day. It was very cold, raining with high winds and there was a cold breeze coming through the windows. There was actually two sets of window panes and cold air came through. Luckily, we were able... More

I stayed here for a weekend (business) in April. It's OK. Manchester is not over-blessed with great hotels and this isn't one, but it serves its purpose. The rooms are large and comfortable, though sometimes, as other reviewers have noted, temperatures can be difficult to control. Bathrooms are very plastic and there are no luxurious touches. The double glazing had... More
