My wife and I stayed at this Hotel as we normally stay at the cricket ground however due to availability we thought we would give it a try. The hotel was less than basic with no facilities in the rooms , TV , tea coffee etc.... The breakfast was an egg and two slices of bread and we had no... More

Our family room was large and clean - probably newly refurbished - nice bathroom but all very basic. We heard breakfast was undercooked - so we gave that a miss and opted to eat elsewhere. There were lots of people complaining when we checked out - so i think we got lucky with our room and avoiding food! The guy... More

First thing the staff were bothered about was getting an extra 3 quid for the car park. We booked three rooms for the Take That concert. One room was very nice at the top of the building and had a lovely bathroom. The second premium room had a bathroom radiator that you couldn't turn off and it was roasting! They... More

This was without doubt the worst hotel experience of my life. I had a look on the hotel website and for some strange reason they didnt put the pictures up of the ceiling falling down in the bathroom woodlice and ants everywhere, damp problems bare wires etc. The staff were very rude and as we were let into our room... Stayed one night in a single room, chose the hotel because of the location. The room had a bare wire hanging form the ceiling with a light bulb hanging form it. To get to my room I had to walk over an electric cable that was plugged into a wall socket in the corridor that went out of the window... More

We arrived for the receptionist to tell us he couldn't find our booking. He eventually found us and we checked in to some pretty dirty, smelly and ancient rooms. To be fair 2 of our group got a room in a better block of rooms. But the rest were awful. We wern't to bothered as it was just a place... More

We stayed for one night only after a gig. No TV and room cold but staff provided a good heater so quickly warmed up (it was December!). Conveniently on bus route and cheap eateries nearby. Breakfast quite small - eggs and toast as it is a Muslim run hotel (hence no alcohol) but I was ok with this. Place could... More

Having come up to Manchester with my daughter for a tour of the student accommodation, a hotel close by to the university seemed the obvious choice. And a hotel that was described on it's web site as "Preserving a piece of British Heritage" and ".. a listed building with charm and character..." certainly put an encouraging image in my mind.... We were shocked to find out that the room hadn't been cleaned, it smelt of smoke and the beds hadn't been changed. It looked like the room had never been hoovered and there was faeces in the toilet! I stayed because it was close to Manchester Academy where I saw a concert but I would never recommend anyone to stay... More

For what people are writing the hotel isn't that bad, what do you expect from a two star hotel, you wouldn't expect luxuries. It had pleasant staff and they were welcoming. Also it was clean including the bathroom, and even though the hotel looked old fashion, i noticed that their was no dust. Also the rooms were fairly big, enough... More
