The place is a kip. Rooms smell of cigarette smoke. Noisy. Cheap and uncomfortable beds. Worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Fire alarm went off at 4am. Restaurant smelled of vomit and was swarming with fruit flies. Had to leave before ordering. Disaster of a hotel. At €197 for 1 night I feel robbed.

My partner and I recently stayed in the Manchester Britannia on the 27th September for our Anniversary. I am sad to say possibly the worst hotel experience we have had in 10 years. The Fire alarm kept us awake half the night due to a fault, the bed was uncomfortable and to top it all off the breakfast we paid... More

Beautiful building and stunning reception area. The staff were friendly and helpful and we were recommended a very good Italian restaurant by one of the bar staff. The room was nice and clean but a word of warning TAKE EARPLUGS!! We could hear every single sound from the street and we were on the 5th floor! The windows were single... More

Giving a really honest answer Don't get me wrong the building is stunning as well as its reception but it is a whole lot of hassle for a hotel which was worse then the standard premiere inn! The greeting was awful, no one helped us with our bags... Ignoring all the extras as a necessity the beds were awful! They... More

The hotel is in a prime location near bars and shops. The staff were all very friendly and helpful on arrival. Our room was a twin room. The carpet was a bit worn and thread bare with a red wine stain on it and the room didn't have a window but had a skylight. The room was clean although looked... More

Great city centre location - but discounted NCP car park was too far away, room (Double executive!) was small, dark, dusty, smelt of smoke (there were two ashtrays in the room?) and furnished with very old (but not antique!) furniture. Bed was uncomfortable and using any of the bathroom taps caused a sound that wasn't dis-similiar to someone playing the... More

I've never written a review before but this hotel is so foul it deserves every word of bile every 'guest' can muster. From the dirty lobby to the snot-stained walls of the box they call a room, every inch of this hellhole is putrid. And they have the cheek to charge money for people to attempt sleep in bug-infested, stained... More

I stayed here recently with majestic tours on a Coronation Street tour. The hotel is an older type hotel, but it is clean, the staff are very helpful and the cost is very reasonable. We had bed breakfast and evening meal. It was very acceptable. The only criticism is the beds were extremely hard!!! Could do with the mattresses like... More

Great hotel, we stayed overnight for a birthday celebration, check in nice and quick, staff were really friendly and the room was lovely, we booked an executive room which was comfortable and clean, also smoking rooms are offered here, would highly recommend for short stay as it's just round the corned from the coach station and Canal street, perfect location...
