Went with majestic for the coronation st tour witch was brilliant but the hotel was so hot and uncomfortable it ruined the experience we managed to open the window a bit but the heat in the room was awful we asked for a fan but we're told they had run out as everyone wanted one should that have told them... Spent a night in the Britannia hotel manchester after reading review I was a little worried but after staying there wonder if we were at same hotel. Yes it's a little jaded around the edges but a beautiful building. The staff were smartly dressed and polite, we had two rooms which were spacious and very clean. Yes there was a... More

Myself and my wife stayed here prior to taking an early morning flight from Manchester airport. The location was great, the exterior was good; this is all that was positive about our stay. Firstly you arrive at the grand front entrance and find a bunch of steps, there's no bellboy, appears to be no way around so you have to... More

My parter and I did a coach deal to see the coronation street tour etc. 2 nights bed and breakfast with evening meal included. The hotel entrance is beautiful with a lovely grand stair case with a stunning chandelier. Upon arrival we waited about 15-20 minutes before anyone saw us. And then they got our coach numbers wrong! Any way...... More

When we arrived at the hotel we were happy with the fastness of check in and our room was OK. Bit dated but it did us fine! On our first night we had arrived late enough, around 9ish and we were starving! We were delighted when we were told the Italian restaurant was still serving food!! We followed the sign... More

We stayed here through a coach holiday operator for one night. Pros- very central location. Magnificent building. Our room was very clean if not dated a little. Cons-very poor evening meal (breakfast a tad better) Rooms very warm so had keep the window open but the noise from traffic and party goers was terrible. Fire alarm went off at 5am... More

I'm in the second night of a four night stay and I'm seriously thinking of dragging my mattress on to the landing to try and get some air. I have asked for a fan early in the evening on both my nights so far and was told that one would be sent up shortly. This didn't occur on either evening... More

This has to be hands down the worst hotel i have EVER stayed in and i've stayed in hundreds! Boiling Hot rooms especially on the 5&6th floor, constant noise from outside, no air con, uninterested staff, aggressive door staff, nightclub below first floor, tatty, old and expensive. Do not stay here.

Stayed here on a Dealmonster deal, wish i never bought the deal. The hotel itself is beautiful, a Grade II Listed building with many of it's original features on display. Sadly the interior is terrible, our room was on the 5th Floor and had no Air Con or Fan, despite temperatures reaching 29c outside. As a result we had the... More
