stopped for 1 night in October in a small but adequate single room.While being small. it had its own en-suite,was clean, and had all the usual facilities a room has.Unfortunatly the room was dark due to there only being a small window( to be fair the hotel does explain that some rooms are like that) and the single bed still... more

Second stay this year, we stay purely for location and price(you could have stayed for as little as £28 the night we stayed). It's quite "tired" in many ways but the room(superior suite for £55/nt) was quite large, quiet, clean and tidy. A little scruffy though, with marked tables and shabby curtains. The location is great, it about a 5 minute walk from the train station or a 1 minute walk from the tram station. The hotel is quite grand inside and out. The rooms were a fine and the staff were pleasant. It offers good value rooms. more

the location is perfect plus the carvery is great, even for difficult veggies like me there was plenty of choice! the rooms are dire and in need of refurbishment but not quite as bad as the Britannia Liverpool. theres a musty smell about the place and the bathroom is full of mould, the bedroom has a tiny window. the hotel... more

We stay here often. The central location is good. Rooms generaly spacious but variable in size and degree of modernization. The prices are only a little above budget chains if you book on line or ring and haggle and as such good value, but may soar if there is a football match or other event. We have had free upgrades.... more
