The hotel rooms are a bit tired and old fashioned. Beds are clean and comfy though. We were in room 272 at the front of the hotel. quite noisy outside in the streets The location is the best thing about the hotel There is an architectural turret thing outside of our room and its full or rubbish and water.... not... Awful, awful, awful!! The whole experience was awful. The staff were very rude upon check in and the hotel was filthy. Our room was so dirty I nearly cried and contemplated moving hotel. The musty smell was overpowering and the mould on the windowsill was green. We complained to staff and they moved us to a bigger and (relatively) cleaner... More

The hotel looks very dated and worn. The entrance area is dirty & tatty. The carpets on the corridoors are very dirty and the whole place smells of smoke, even the non-smoking area. The rooms are spacious enough, the bathrooms are OK and have baths, but the TV’s and the hairdriers are around 20 years old! They work, but are... More

Stayed here with my daughter. On arrival, the foyer was opulent and lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful. However. On entering our room, it was like a 1960s nightmare with no window Half the plug sockets in the room didnt work. The bathroom was grotty and in desperate need of a makeover. The strip light (I assume in place... More

Arrived and not impressed when there are three people in the 'check-in' queue and five people in the 'complaints' queue! Receptionist was desperately trying to deal with both and failing to get her colleagues to assist, they clearly did't want to assist her! Room very basic, not all the lights worked, bathroom panel was hanging off and similar to a... More

It looked amazing from the outside but this is a classic example of why you should never treat a book by it's cover. When my boyfriend and i walked into the hotel room, the first thing we noticed was the room had no windows, which was a big disappointment. Secondly, there is no room service, which is again a huge... More

We were booked into this hotel by 'The Stag Weekend' company for a mates stag do. We didnt think to check the hotel reviews on Tripadvisor until the day before - big mistake. The lifts were dodgy (you had to physically open one of the doors and the control panels were hanging off the walls on pretty much every floor)... More

Suffice to say the biggest issue was the blood and semen stains on the 2 chairs in the room. Additionally the room permitted smoking and had no window, the tub dripped water constantly, and the deadbolt was snapped. My key card was also deactivated too soon which isn't great when you're charged for a late checkout. I was also charged... More
