Modern hotel with good quality roooms, spacious and very nice lounge area. Breakfast good and staff very helfpul. Only minor compliaints were that the water pressure in the shower went one morning and only 1 lift - 2nd one being repaired. Overall really liked the hotel and would recommend

Stayed here last week on business and it was spot on. Very central in Manchester but felt relaxing and comfortable even though they had a big function on. Was close to my meetings and in the evening I could walk anywhere in Manchester. Perfect spot for people like me and tourists alike. Staff are professional and friendly and they have... More

Stayed here for a Saturday night overnight stay, to visit my favourite restaurant in Manchester. The hotel managed to find a lovely quiet room, which was comfortable and spacious with a wonderful soft bed. The staff were also very friendly and helpful throughout. There were however a few gripes, albeit fairly minor: The flow of the water in the shower... More

Stayed here on a recent trip to Manchester. Hotel prices in the city were inflated on that evening due to an event the next day, so we thought if we're going to have to pay a decent amount of money for a hotel we may as well get something quite nice - the Macdonald Townhouse Hotel appeared to tick the... I stayed here for two nights with my husband in a classic room. The hotel is very nice, rooms are stylish and well equipped and the service is very friendly, but the location is on a major crossroad in the city centre, which has its downsides. The first room we checked into had an amazing view towards the town hall,... More

I stayed at the MacDonald Townhouse in Manchester for three nights for the 2015 Association of Corporate Treasurers conference. The rooms and decor are modern-rustic, and are very comfortable. The building is an old cotton factory and is very charming. I was pleasantly surprised to have extremely hot water in the shower, a definite plus for travel in the UK.... More

I've stayed at MacDonalds hotels previously and so chose this hotel as I was attending meetings at the MacDonald Spa Hotel just round the corner. This hotel us on a Main Street and the noise outside never stops. All night traffic, part goers, drunks, bin men at 6 am nightmare! My room overlooked the road and I found myself looking... More

Stayed here with two friends for a weekend break. We had such a lovely time and the hotel was perfect for the weekend. The room was incredibly warm as the air conditioning wasn't working properly. The staff were more than helpful and opened one of the windows slightly and even offered to move us to another room. We stayed in... More

My wife and I stayed here for one night on Saturday May 9th. We parked up in the Q-Park Piazza in Chinatown to take advantage of the discount and were dismayed to find signs to say the car park would be closed from 9am to 4pm the next day due to the Great Manchester Run. As usual, a little research... More

Great location for all that Manchester has to offer and only a ten minute walk to the train station. Check in all polite and helpful. Room.....Accessible Double.. clean good sized room..the ensuite shower room was Black Tiled walls and floor with minimal lighting and a tiny sink making wet shaving a near impossibility. Only had Dinner on the first evening... More
