I booked my room at this hotel thinking to myself well for £38 (cheap online deal) its only one night not the end of the world if its rank! we were greeted at reception by the most polite girl who imediately made me feel better, the reception and bar looked very nice and i got quite excited about getting to... more

Stayed here for two nights whilst attending conference. The hotel was fine. I had a twin bedded room on the third floor with a view towards the Britannia Hotel and Piccadilly. The room was a huge, as was the bathroom. There was some street noise but it wasn't unbearable, although if you had the window open it might be too... more

I have just returned, if a little jaded from a weekend in Manchester. Manchester is now one of my favourite citys in the UK it's got so much to offer, it's great value, it's very accessabile and full of very friendly people. We had great weather and the general atmosphere of the city made me proud to be English! I... more

We stayed at this hotel on a Saturday night in Jan 09 and had got a good price. The room was in real need of renovation and the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned properly. However the main problem was the noise mainly from the traffic outside all night long. The breakfast was nice but I’m being generous awarding this hotel 2... more

This hotel is part of the Best Western chain and as I stay at one of their other hotels on a regular basis I had built up enough points for a free stay. I have written the review bearing this in mind. I had booked this hotel as it is fairly close to Manchester Piccadily station as we were flying... more

Booked for its location near Oxford Road and Piccadilly stations and its prices and that I was recommended the Best Western chain. However I had a room on the 1st floor on a busy crossroads. I couldn't sleep well the first night as lorries and buses have noisy hydraulic brakes. The room was just so needing redecorating and the bathroom... more

We have stayed at this hotel a number of times when we have visited Manchester and we have always enjoyed it. However following this last stay I suspect it will be our last visit. Whilst there is an expectation of some noise in city central hotels, this time we were placed around the back - room 317 and the noise... more

This sad hotel was obviously last updated in the 1980s and it shows - from the tired decor in the rooms to the bathroom facilities, this hotel is in dire need of some loving attention. Worse still was the appalling night's sleep due to the constant noise from the busy road junction beneath my (4th floor) window. Other newer hotels... more

Good location and nice main bar with friendly staff but the room was very poor. Smelt of smoke, linen was dirty as was the carpet and couldn't get a decent signal on the TV. Best Western's tend to be hit or miss these days and this was definitely a miss, good for stags or a weekend with mates, bad for... more

Bit of a mixed bag really, stayed here for one night for work, and was working out of the hotel for two days... On the plus side, the staff were lovely, helpful, friendly, obliging and accommodating, and the conference rooms and staff were great, and great value. Also the bar staff and bar food were pretty decent too... My room... more
