My very enjoyable stay at The Midland last week-end has prompted me to book another week-end break again at this hotel in September. On arrival, the hotel lobby and reception area is very much in the realms of a 5 star establishment, and the rooms and leisure centre did not disappoint at all! My room was spotlessly clean, well proportioned... More

Today we had afternoon tea here and it was exquisite, the ambience of the whole place is very special from the reception to the lovely table linen. We have had some beautiful afternoon tea's and some very modern versions but you can't beat the old traditional ones. A special mention to Michael who looked after us just beautiful.

I can endorse the previous reviews of it being a big grand hotel, yes it is that. As a 4 star hotel it is very good and if I stay in Manchester again I would come back, no complaints whatsoever, with the added bonus of the French.

Booked the weekend special staying two nights. Great continental breakfast, lovely quality of items available. A very warm weekend in the city but the air conditioned room worked a treat. Will definitely return.

I stayed here for one night with a friend and booked the hotel through Last minute.com and found a great deal. For the money we paid it was exceptionally good. The Midland is an iconic hotel and is a beautiful building, probably the best looking building in Manchester. The check in wasn't brilliant as the receptionist couldn't find our booking,... More

When I last stayed at the Midland I thought it had a lot going for it - pleasant attentive staff, fine building, the wonderful French Restaurant - but was a bit run down at least as far as my room was concerned. I revisited a year later and everything was pretty well perfect. My room was huge and immaculate, I... More

Visited this hotel earlier this year with the family. Family room was very spacious, hotel location excellent (£8 taxi ride from the train station) especially for city centre shopping. Looks like it has had a recent makeover, new carpets and very clean. Restaurant fully booked on Sunday night so we ate out in China Town, plenty of choice within walking... More

We went back again to take our daughter to the one direction concert. The hotel always delivers on service and quality, the only downside is that the drinks in the general bar area are expensive if you can get a seat!

SIMPLY THE BEST AND MOST ICONIC BUILDING IN THE CITY. Cant wait to visit this great hotel again very soon. Manchester really is a great city and you should check it out for yourself. nip in to Albert Square and check out Reds True BBQ restaurant for a really great night out. Say hi to Jimmy the doorman for us!
