I stayed at this hotel on the 9th of June and I wanted to share my experience. What a fantastic choice, the hotel was excellent - Hotel immaculate inside and out, General Manager and all the staff very friendly and nothing was too much trouble! Location was ideal close to several restaurants, Lowry, War Museum, Man Utd etc etc and... more

I loved the hotel. A bit too far from Manchester City Centre but great location from the tram station and the Lowry Mall and a few restaurants and a mini Tesco. Great staff and very clean areas. Very clean rooms. The free breakfast was a plus. more

good access to public transport, within walking distance of Man U and Old Trafford if other methods not feasible. Shopping mall, Lowry Gallery nearby. Hotel facilities are basic but ok, relatively decent value for the UK. Would stay again if in Manchester and not wanting to pay more to be more central. Area has less yobbishness than the city centre... more

Pretty standard chain hotel rooms but a great location for anyone wanting to attend a Manchester United game at Old Trafford. The stadium is a 10 minute walk away and the hotel was happy for us to leave the car in the car park while we were at the game (we had checked out that morning). The included breakfast buffet... more

I stayed here for 1 night as I was going to a concert at The Lowry. It was just a short walk along a lovely quayside to the theatre and the shopping outlet mall . The staff were very polite and helpful , I arrived before check in time but as my room was ready they let me check in. Ample... more

I stayed here for one night in January 2009 at a cost of just over £50, booked via the special offer on the Holiday Inn Express website. The location is good, not in central Manchester but only about 4 stops away on the tram (Eccles line), which runs every 12 minutes or so. A return ticket costs £2.20. One advantage... more

We were taking a trip to visit The Lowry Gallery and picked this hotel for its handy location. It did not disappoint, its near the Gallery, right on the water front. The three rooms we had were all clean and modern with comfy beds and good shower rooms. My friends both had rooms with nice views of the water. We... more

We went to the hotel initially to meet up with business associates but with bad airline/road traffic it was prosponed. We decided to stay on as it seemed an okay hotel and we'd travelled 250 miles to get there. From checking in with the receptionist (christina) who was polite, very helpful and knowledgeable about the area she helped us out... more

Like most Holiday Inn Express hotels, this is fine for a short stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable, but this hotel has a few odd features. The first, as mentioned on other reviews, is the stupidly noisy lifts which are not great if you're in one of the rooms facing the lifts, or next to them. Also, in the... more

Lived in Manchester and fully aware of the top location this hotel has for Salford Quays tranquility, access to three top chain restaurants and Tesco express a 2 minute walk over the bridge. Metrolink here too giving full access from Salford Quays to City centre of Manchester. Room clean, basic, breakfast basic continental - was really looking forward to some... more
