We called in here because we saw that it did Sky Sports and we wanted to watch the cricket. The TV wasn't on when we walked in, but the barman was happy to put the cricket on for us. As the pub didn't do food, we left for a meal and then returned later in the evening for the end... More

My husband and I went here with some friends. We just happened to walk past and we heard the music so we said we'd pop in for a quick drink and ended up staying for quite a few drinks and dances. The atmosphere was great. The music was great too. Would highly recommend it. We're definitely going to go back.

Traditional old pub set in a side street just off the main deansgate drag, good selection of ales and beers and decent for a hassle free drink away from the hustle and bustle of town. Freindly bar staff and reasonably priced will nip in again for a drink.

Yes, this place needs refurbishment, the carpet is ancient and it smells a bit but it has character and great features.Arrived early evening and was great for us to have a couple of drinks whilst the 2 teenage children played pool and table football upstairs. Not sure what its like later!! Great photos on the wall (esp Man Utd) and... More

I visited the Old nags head for the first time on 29.11.14, It was very busy as the christmas markets were on. The service was very good and fast to say it was very busy, got a seat in the back, the music was very good and all in all had a good atmosphere. The things that let it down... More

I used to love this pub but it has seen better days and needs some urgent attention. The main bar smells of urine and overall it's scruffy and dilapidated. It doesn't need much to get it up to a decent standard but does anyone care? It doesn't look like it. What a shame.

Unfortunately Trip Advisor does not allow a score of Nil but if it did then this place would achieve it without any problem. Inside is dark and unwelcoming and you get charged Night Club prices for your drinks by the unfriendly staff. Definitely a place to avoid. TOP TIP. - If you are unfortunate enough to drink here definitely do... More

To start with, if I could give this place zero then I would do. We had arranged to go here for our works lads Xmas party and had seen the wonderful pictures on the website !! What a difference when we got there !! The downstairs bar was very dark and not very welcoming, but as the beer was ok... More
