This was a one night stay following a business trip. My partner came to meet me and I booked this as a surprise. Both of us loved the hotel, it was private and so deluxe. Dark and interesting. Nice staff all organised and polite. Would choose to stay here again if in Manchester.

Really nice hotel inside. Very friendly and helpful staff. Welcome tray of tea/coffee etc on arrival was lovely. Really nice to get fresh milk and ice & slice in your room everyday (and proper filter coffee!). Very clean room, good size, nice bathrooms and good showers. The decoration in the rooms is good quality, quite masculine but nice - though... More

Outside was not so pre-possessing, it looked like a converted pub, but it was luxurious inside. Very quiet on a Tuesday night. Staff helpful at breakfast and in looking after our luggage. Really liked the exposed brick, wooden beams and girders in the rooms.

A lovely boutique hotel. Rooms are not large but big enough and beautifully decorated. Very clean and very well appointed. The bar downstairs serves nice cocktails. It's got a rear entrance so you don't have to go through the busy Canal St if you arrive in the evening. Very well located for visits to the city centre and its attractions.... More

I enjoyed a one-night stay at this hotel and was amazed at the service levels from the efficient and prompt checking in and throughout my stay albeit short. I, particularly, enjoyed the little touches which are, invariably, missing in other establishments but are so important in making one's stay more convivial. For example, the fresh milk (instead of that "plastic"... More

Firstly the setting is perfect - on Canal Street which is full of bars and restaurants and is within walking distance of other popular streets. Each room is different. I have stayed in a few different rooms. One had a huge headboard in sculpted wood whilst another had a four poster bed. The balcony rooms are fabulous too as they... More

I hate leaving bad reviews but it didnt tick all the boxes if im honest, for the amount of money payed! Lovely hotel, but needs a little tlc. Rooms look clean but on closer inspection wasnt spotless. Would of expected it to be spotless from a hotel this expensive! Back of little info cards were dusty. Not just a little... More

This was a birthday treat to stay in this hotel as we have always wanted to. The room was beautiful, fresh milk delivered with a jar of cookies by the very nice lady on reception. The bed was very comfortable. The next morning the noise from above was quite loud from moving chairs across the floor, I did wear earplugs... More

Checked in to a lovely room. beautiful decor etc! Unfortunately this hotel is situated next door to a night club. From about 9PM until 3AM we could hear the night clubs music. It was not enjoyable. It was also extremely loud despite wearing ear plugs. I phoned up the reception and unfortunately all the other rooms where full. The receptionist... More
