Basically this is an option for visitors coming to Manchester on a budget. It is a student halls of residence that turns in to a budget hotel during the holidays. The positives: good central location, near to gay village, and also the breakfast is good if you opt to take it. Also tea, coffee and kettle provided in room. Negatives:... More

I stayed at the Weston Hall over the period of three weekends whilst working on Manchester. It's in a good spot, about a five minute walk from Piccadilly station, five minutes from Canal street and just after that China town. The rooms are very basic but come with clean bedding and towels so can't complain much. The only downside I... More

This is essentially the downscale "economy" wing of the Pendulum Hotel (even better known as Manchester Conference Centre in case you're asking locals for directions.) These hotel rooms are described as a "student residence hall" in some of their printed literature. Pluses: Clean, with a large desk space and adequate furniture. Friendly and helpful front desk / reception staff (of... More

Not really a hotel but rather a room for hire. It's was clean and tidy but also noisy and very outdated. Good for students or people not wanting to spend too much on housing. The staff of the adjacent hotel handled the reception. They were very friendly and helpful.

Stayed for a friend's stag do. Booked last minute due to change of plans. For only £25 I got my own bed toilet and shower. Right near Piccadilly station. I couldn't recommend this place highly enough for the price.

I always stay here when I'm in Manchester. It's basic but clean and if you just need a place to rest your head, freshen up in the morning and keep your stuff safe, it is ideal. There's no wifi in the Halls and no TV in the rooms but as its part of the Days Hotel Complex you get to... More
