I chose to stay here because it was convenient for catching an early train from Piccadilly station. Good value for money by city centre standards. Bit apprehensive that it would be noisy as it was a Saturday night but slept OK. "Free toiletries" they promised but there wasn't even a bit of soap. After I made a request for some... More

An old university hall attached to a normal hotel, these rooms are absolutely fine if you just want a place to sleep when you're drunk; anything else and you need to look elsewhere. The rooms are basic as you would expect, single bed, wardrobe and NO TV! The shower also seems to give you a good five minutes before the... More

I stayed for a week in this residence and I must say I wasn't expecting such a great standard! The rooms are for one with an en suite bathroom, and were cleaned daily. The 24-hour reception was very helpful when I was in need, and the breakfast was excellent!

3 nights for £87 I have to say I was apprehensive when I booked, but all other places were out of my price range. I'm attending a convention and I expect that's why prices were inflated. I'm a solo female and have security issues. pro's: 1) cost. compared to everywhere else very cheap 2) single room, en suite with toilet... More

This is a student residence which works as a hotel during summer. The only positive thing is that is is very close to specific departments of the university of Manchester. The rooms are very small not clean at all the bathroom is disaster but if you want to stay there for only 1-2 nights I guess it's ok because the... More

There is nothing wrong with this place but one has to take into account it is a hall of residence. A decent night's sleep in a compact room for a price that would be hard to beat in central Manchester. Located close to the railway stations and amenities close at hand. The room had a kettle, etc and (small) shower/toilet... More

Although in the website it says that there is internet connection, but such a connection is available in one side, but on the other side of the building the rooms rented out to people does not have connection. Tenants must come from 5th floor to the 1st floor to have access to internet. There is no elevator. to go to... More

I needed a place for one night only, and wanted to stay close to the train station, so I booked a room via Booking.com three months in advance. I was a sucker for the low price... but you know what they say - you get what you pay for. Sadly, I even didn't get that! I got to the hotel... More

I booked this hotel two days before arriving for only £28 as all the other hotels in Manchester were £60+ and I only needed a bed for the night after a hen party. It was ideal for my needs. It was basically just a student accommodation room. There was a single bed, a desk and chair and a small en... More

Good for the price. No pretensions. I went for a extended weekend during Summer and I knew what I could expect. Very close to Manchester City center, close to bars and pubs. Bed was not very confortable. Used as a University dorm during semesters. Good if you just want to sleep.
