I stayed here with my young daughter as I was looking for somewhere inexpensive that was easily accessible to the city centre, especially Deansgate, and safe. We really enjoyed our night here. Parking was plentiful and free. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, providing bus route information. The garden area was relaxed and lovely and the 'hotel' itself was... More

My second visit. Reasonable, close to town and good for a retreat/solo break. Garden is lovely and peaceful; good to have a communal lounge. Breakfast is simple but what you would expect for continental: boiled eggs, porridge, cereals, yoghurts, toast, croissants/pastries, ham, cheese, selection of fruits. Rooms are fairly large, sink in bedroom, shower. Bed is single but comfy. Walls... More

By far the worst place I have stayed in. Paint coming off the walls, mould in shower, bad bed hence awful sleep. The rooms on when booking bears absolutely no truth to what I had. Fire alarm went off about 15 times in the afternoon when I was trying to get some sleep after 4.5 hours drive. No one mentioned... More

This is our first choice for staying in Manchester. The short bus ride into town (frequent, cheap service) means that you have a great night's sleep, especially if overlooking the garden area, always a very important consideration in a city. The garden is such a special place - there is also a library, a lounge and small bar area. We... More

We stayed at Luther King House for our daughters graduation and found the check-in/out to be quick and friendly. The location is great! Short distance from the curry mile, easy bus journey to the town centre and a short walk to the bus stop. The breakfast was really good and the waiter was very helpful. This was good price deal.... This is very good quality for the price. The rooms are basic but comfortable. The staff could not be more helpful and the house is set in lovely grounds. It is nice to sit outside in the covered area around the courtyard. There is a wonderful peaceful atmosphere here and Sunday morning you have the added advantage of hearing the... More

Was just passing through from Manchester Airport and needed a place to lay my head for a few hours. I was not going to arrive at the hotel until about 3.45 AM, so didn't need much just a decent bed and a bit of piece and quiet. The hotel is like an old military mess, so has a bit of... More

It's a budget place - I paid £39 for a double ensuite - cheaper options were available too. So at that price, I'm not expecting much, but it beats that expectation hands down. Luther King House is essentially a conference centre, but when not busy, they rent out the rooms like a hotel. Very pleasant staff, clean rooms, nice bed... More

Ok for a budget stay, stayed in one of the small house not the main building. A little bit tired but I think its fair for the price. Breakfast not bad and friendly staff. The only thing that brings the rating down is that there are some questionable people staying here, smoking in in non smoking areas and partying all... More

Stayed in the hotel for a week while working close by Within easy reach of many bars and restaurants I stayed in room 113 in the main building good sized room, fresh and cleaned daily Be advised the house opposite has other single rooms but have shared facilities and are a lot smaller The breakfast/diner hall could do with air conditioning,...
