This is actually an ecclesiastical training centre with rooms rather than a hotel. I was staying on business so needed a convenient stopover but I wish I could have stayed longer. It's got a really peaceful, old-fashioned feel and the staff are friendly. The central courtyard is beautifully kept and would be fantastic in the summer. The library was still... More

Stayed here as a couple after my travelling companion had stayed here on many previous years. He'd warned me it was rather "schoolhouse-ish" and he certainly wasn't wrong. The whole place had a boarding school feel about it, but I knew what I was getting and this was fine. Our double room was perfectly functional - if quite tired. The... More

Absolutely ideal for a group of you visiting away – I’d happily book here again rather than hotel rooms for 2/3/4. The price being the main driver - £150 a night for a 10 person house... Positives: Good size rooms which are well-equipped. Very, very well priced. In Fallowfield: close to pubs, bars, shops and main bus routes Ample car... More

I recently had a NHS Professional training week there, the building was lovely and the gardens were so relaxing. The conference room was a lovely room adequate for the course. Though no food or drinks provided in the course there is a great dining area where we could buy a meal and get a lovely Coffee much needed for the... More

I've stayed here and used the facilities many times over the past 6 years and the place gets better all the time. The staff have always been helpful, friendly and professional but over the years the location has been improved and upgraded. It is just off one of the main roads into Manchester but you would never know it. It... More

Me and my partner booked 2 nights here for a short break away , upon arrival the look of the entrance/reception and dining room looked fab! The receptionist was very friendly and showed us to our room .... Upon entering the room my heart sank ! The room was small, dark and dingy .... Coffee stains galore ! Tiniest bathroom... More

Over the years I have stayed at Luther King House a number of times; as an individual; as a wedding guest and, most recently, for the Voices Foundation Conference which meets here every year. In a busy city it's a oasis of calm, especially the cloistered garden; the staff are always friendly and helpful, the facilities exactly what we need... More

August 2014 the regular venue for our annual Voices Foundation conference I must recommend the quality of the catering this year at LK House. The food was interesting, fresh and well presented in appearance and taste. The extremely friendly manner and efficient service of all the kitchen staff contributed to some memorable, lively and amusing moments while choosing from the... More

I stayed here recently while attending a conference. This was my first visit and I was very impressed. The facilities were basic, but clean and comfortable. The food was excellent and the staff particularly friendly and helpful.

I enjoy a stay at Luther King House every August. I work for The Voices Foundation - a national music education charity. LKH is the venue for our annual conference. I had a lovely room and the food was very good. Staff extremely welcoming and helpful. I thoroughly recommend it.
