It was very friendly, and good value, i didnt realise breakfast was included. it was ok for two nights as we were going to a concert at the Uni, so well placed. It was clean and basic with the smallest bathroom I have ever seen. I would probably pay extra to stay more central in Manchester next time.

Myself and four friends stayed here for a one night trip to Manchester. We found it to be clean, the staff were friendly and had everything we needed for one night. The grounds are rather picturesque; refreshing as opposed to an urban feel. Breakfast is included; a lovely surprise for us! It was just continental, but a full English is... More

I was part of a team which organised an international seminar here. We had 30 participants from across Europe. The conference office was very supportive and efficient and all the facilities we needed were provided without any fuss. We were able to work in the peaceful atmosphere and were provided with excellent, hearty food by a very friendly restaurant team.... More

Nothing fancy but great location, quiet, great staff and well priced. A little maintenance on the room I stayed in would warrant 5 stars for the price. Nice grounds and only a short walk to the "curry mile", University and hospital.

Quite simply, the best hotel I've ever stayed in. A beautiful complex unlike any other hotel, having just two storeys, a lovely courtyard garden with a fountain, and other interesting features like a library and chapel. The location is a pleasant , leafy suburb which is quiet and peaceful, birdsong was audible in my room and the feng shui of... More

Lovely and quiet. Very interesting place - a theological college and guests can look at the library and chapel when they've had breakfast. Breakfast is only continental, but lots of choice of ham, cheese, croissants, hot hard boiled eggs, cereals, etc. It does very much feel like returning to university but on a more pampered level. Wallpaper in room and... More

It was hard to find the entrance using a satnav but eventually found it, the lady on reception was really nice and helped me find my room. The actual room was okay, it had an odd smell, I could only describe this as a musty, old smell. It could do with redecorating all over the hotel Including new bedding, curtains... More

Stayed here for one night, it's a bit out from the city centre but there was a cheap direct bus just up the road. The room was very basic but it was clean with a good selection of tea and coffee and a decent TV. Breakfast is included in the price and had a really good continental selection.

Rooms were nice, but very simple and need some touching up doing (bathrooms were scruffy). It was a little like being in nice student accommodation (if that exists)!! Only stayed one night and it did the job! Was clean and neat when arrived. Location is ideal, quiet area. The actual hotel is nice with a lovely garden in the middle.... More

Room 422 - basic room which had everything I needed and was clean. Incredible continental breakfast well worth the money. Loved Gods tangible presence and peace in the room. Would definitely stay again despite the problem of plumbing for the en suite toilet in the bedroom making a loud noise for 10 minutes after flushing. The most comfortable bed and... More
