We stay at the Abode when visiting Manchester usually only for the night. The rooms are a good size and the beds are the most comfortable I have ever slept in! The location is great for the city centre and taking this into consideration the room was quiet. We have never eaten at the restaurant.

Generally the hotel was great. However, if you're a wheelchair user there are some issues. Firstly, I HAD TO book a Desirable room as it was the only 'accessible room' in the hotel. Thus I paid approx £20 more than I wanted/needed too, purely to have a room I could get round. The room itself was lovely, however the bathroom... More

We have stayed at the hotel a couple of times and the building and rooms are beautiful. This time, we decided to book the taster menu and left bitterly disappointed. We we shown to our table which was a row of six tables wit each couple having the tasting menu. To be honest, the food was average and the service... More

We planned a shopping trip and decided to book last minute for Saturday night as it was also the eve of our anniversary. My partner chose the Abode. The Hotel is right in the heart of Manchester on Piccadilly. We stayed in a 'Desireable' room. I loved the original Victorian tiles, parquet floor and décor in the stairwells. The room... More

Every time I visit Manchester I've always said to myself that I will stay in this hotel next time. Generally I stay in the DoubleTree just across the road. The outside of Abode is very impressive. Reception area is quite small but clean and tidy. There is one small lift servicing the hotel. We stayed in the standard double and... More

The pros are definitely the great location (very central) as well as the nice and cosy design of the rooms in a historic building with an industrial touch. My cons are mainly noise related: I asked for a calm room which we received and which was facing the backside of the building. But what is it good for to have... More

My wife found a deal on line for this hotel & restaurant. We'd always wanted to try Michael Caines food so we went along. From minute one the customer service was very good and the reception area is lovely, bright and relaxed. The hotel room is sparse to say the least, it looks like style over substance and was not... After a fairly heavy driving leg I thought i would treat my wife to a nice hotel in Manchester. We booked the Junoir Suite, and for the price I was expecting something that was really nice as I travel a lot on business around the world as well as nationally.. What a let down, normally my wife has a woa... More
