We had two rooms here and both were great. The hotel is in the center of Chipping Campden so you are well located for walks and visiting local restaurants. The staff warmly greeted us in their pub and immediately escorted us to our rooms with happy smiles the whole time. This was probably one of the best breakfasts we were... More

We haven't stayed in the hotel, but use the bar for lunch when visiting Chipping Campden with friends. Beware: the portions are large! Hot and tasty food well prepared and fresh and wholesome. My husband had a 'ploughman's' elsewhere yesterday - I said 'I bet you wish it was as good as the Lygon's'. The choice of premium quality cheeses... More

Hotel is right on Chipping Campden High Street. Full of character. Room was a good size with plenty of storage and a large comfortable bed. Room had wooden beams. Pity they still use blankets on the bed. Bathroom was large with a very good over bath shower. Could be difficult to get in for anyone with difficulty lifting their leg.... More

I have been to the Lygon Arms sporadically over the years with my family and friends and it's never failed to deliver on the highest quality of bar food and a good pint! The service is still excellent, and always nice to see management floating about and chatting with the locals on regular occasions.

We stayed here for 2 nights and absolutely loved it. The hotel is an old coaching inn dating back to the 16th century and you can just imagine the coaches pulling into the passageway leading into the courtyard. The building is very imposing, built out of the local Cotswold stone. The village is beautiful with the High street pubs, shops... More

A very pleasant pub for splendid bar meals and wonderful soup, with a wide range of options, including veggie. A good selection of real ales, with changing visitor brews. Two roaring fire in the winter!

I first visited the Lygon Arms probably 20 years ago when I suspect when the Hotel was at a peak of popularity and was considered a Cotswold jewel. My husband and I were recently passing through Chipping Campden so decided to stay for lunch. The service was friendly but indifferent - ale served in a guiness glass and over priced... More

My wife and I asked The Lygon Arms to help give our arriving guests somewhere to convene and eat on the night before our wedding. To avoid stress, we just wanted an area reserved and for guests to choose their meals as they arrived, as opposed to pre-ordering. On the evening, we found that the hotel staff had put out... More

First of all, the Cotswolds win for the most charming place on earth! One village is cuter then the next and Chipping Campden is no exception. The Lygon Arms, right on High Street is a wonderful historic pub with several rooms upstairs in the back. Our room was awesome....big, modern, clean. They left us water & fruit in the refrigerator... I just came here for Sunday lunch so I cannot comment on this place as a hotel. Both my friend and I enjoyed our meals, the service was good, the surroundings pleasant, if a little cold, and the price was good - very good value overall. They have more than just a Sunday roast on offer. My friend had scampi... More
