My wife and I had a very pleasant lunch, with a wide menu choice, good service and at reasonable prices. Both the Stilton & Walnut Pie & Mash and the Scampi and Chips were lovely, but very big portions! The Sticky Toffee Pudding is particularly good. This is a very traditional old English coaching inn, on the high street of... More

You need to be really hungry when you come here as the portions are huge. The place is quite small, so depending on your time of arrival you may or may not get a table. The menu offers a good range of choices and food is reasonably priced. We both had two courses but one would have been adequate. I... More

We had this bought us as a Ruby wedding present, so went last Sunday for Bed and Breakfast. We had a courtyard room, which was amazing, loely large bathroom with Jacuzzi/bath/jet shower, loads of lovely clean towels and natural oils ect if you chose to use them. The king size bed was so comfortable (I am hard to please where... More

Stopped off for lunch at the Lygnon Arms yesterday at 1430. Took 40 minutes for the bar staff to deliver a pint and ploughmans lunch! They certainly weren't run off their feet as there was only a party of four dinning inside and a party of 5 outside. Beautiful pub staffed by teenagers who couldn't care less about the service... We arrived late on a weekday and looked for a hotel room in the area. The friendly ladies in the cosy pub could offer us two different rooms, both looked just perfect and we chose the one overlooking the High Street. The room and bed was just lovely and we slept very well. The breakfast the following day was the... More

Had an early dinner in this lovely cosy pub. Wide selection to choose from although wasn't overly hungry the hot meals served around me look locket with huge portions. Service was friendly albeit a touch slow from the kitchen. Lovely town to wander around aw well

Met friends at The Lygon for Sunday lunch, friends had booked a table in the restaurant, BUT there had been a mix up and we had to have a table in the bar, which was a bit cramped. Really long confusing menu, I had Roast Beef with home made Yorkshire pudding, the rare beef was lovely, but the slices that... More

This was a perfect way to finish our 5 weeks in the UK, a very memorable stay at the Lygon Arms. To Jo, Sandra and all the team at the Arms thankyou. From finding a park in the High street which we were lucky enough to find right out the front, effortless check-in, super breakfast which be warned the full... More

Right in the heart of town, could not be a better location with plenty of street parking. Nice breakfast served upstairs and away from the Pub. Also liked the Pub and restaurant across the courtyard from the rooms. Our room faced the street on the first (Euro) floor but was above the Pub so a bit noisy. Very friendly staff.... More

We were recommended this Inn by near neighbours and the room was very comfortable although a little cramped. We were in the Courtyard and the room was well equipped and comfortable. I believe the rooom can get very hot in the summer and a standing fan in the room indicates this to be the case. The breakfast was fabulous with... More
