A very well run establishment with good facilities and clean and tidy rooms. We received excellent service from arrival to departure. If you need somewhere that's not expensive to stay in the heart of the Cotswolds then you couldn't go far wrong. Good Breakfast, excellent Indian meal in the evening (and we're from Birmingham so we know!), good bar area... more

Set at the heart of this wonderful Cotswold town the Volunteer provides great value accommodation especially at our late winter deal rate. Only slight downside is the noise transfer from room above. more

Visited the Volunteer Inn with two friends for a relaxing break, and that's exactly what we received. The room was perfectly clean and nicely furnished. The building itself is beautiful and in keeping with the rest of the stunning village. The location is amazing - right near the centre of the village. The breakfasts were great, as was the food... more

Booked a single room with Booking.com and got a bargain. In fact I was given a double room. Lovely room with spacious shower and toilet. Indian restaurant located in back room of pub does excellent meals. Also the breakfast served there in the mornings is more than adequate with everything cooked and delivered fresh. Certainly a better breakfast than most... more

Our room was large and very comfortable, on the ground level with a patio overlooking the beer garden. This hotel is centrally located in my favorite Cotswold village, close to restaurants and hiking trails. The Indian restaurant in the hotel is great, and the breakfasts were large English breakfasts with many choices. I would highly recommend this hotel for its... more

My wife and I stayed 2 nights at the Volunteer Inn. It is the perfect location for exploring the Cotswolds. The inn is very quaint, typical British pub, but the room are very modern, roomy, and well cared for. We were very surprised with the top quality of the rooms. Food at the inn is very good and the staff... more

We arrived to check in and the girl said they had had a cancellation and she had a better room for us. The room was lovely with a flat screen tv, seperate very modern shower and toilet, exposed stone and slate floor in the bathroom. We also had our own terrace area leading out to the beer garden. The food... more

Had a great stay at the Inn,we stayed 2 nights and would highly recommend The Volunteer Inn to anyone. We stayed in the room above the bar, which was quite noisy, but didn't bother us. The room was basic and very clean. All the staff are very friendly and the food is great. We will be back! more
