Had a ride out to Chipping Campden on a cold wet day. Visited the Red lion Inn how inviting was the real open log fire. A lovely old worldly pub who's staff were very friendly and welcoming. The red lion is a lovely historical building and our double room was just around the corner in a side road on the first floor. had lunch there; it was very poor value for money, though edible. £13 for a "beefburger with melted brie" which was tiny and had no visible brie in or on it and £6 for a perfectly acceptable ham roll that would have been fairly priced at £4. The staff were fine and I enjoyed the beer.

I had to change my booking for the room and the staff were extremely accomodating. The room was comfortable and clean, and the staff charming and helpful. My food was excellent, although my partner would have liked more vegetarian options. I would definitely stay there again
