Lovely old fashioned pub & B&B with friendly owners and staff. We had The Wardle room which was a cosy, well decorated double room. Bed was really comfy (better than our own!) with an en-suite shower/loo. Shower was great for me but my 6'4" hubby struggled height wise. Great tea & coffee facilities with biscuits and bottle of water which... More

We stayed in this hotel for a night only but it was such a unique stay. To begin with, the welcome was very warm and the pub had so much character. Upon entering the room in the annex, I immediately had a smile on my face and felt very warm and cosy - definitely the way you want to feel... More

Stayed at the Red Lion over Christmas. So what was it like? The accommodation was just what we were looking for. It was warm, comfortable, clean and spacious (we were in the Jethro suite). Food was excellent, particularly the Christmas dinner; breakfasts were cooked to order, and fine choice of evening meals. Tracy and her team gave excellent service, they... More

We stayed at the Red Lion on Friday night for our anniversary. The rooms are lovely and clean, nicely attired with everything you need really. Tea and coffee making, free WiFi. We liked that there was a separate entrance for the rooms to the pub / restaurant. Being an old building we worried it might be cold in December but... More

The dark golden stone High Street buildings come from over 500 years. The Red Lion also was part of the High Street and really gives an atmospheric touch to any stay. The staff were helpful and gave us a room with internal beams, that really made you feel that you were in Olde England.

Stayed here in early October to celebrate my husbands 60th Birthday. This is a lovely traditional pub set in a beautiful Cotswold village. The room we stayed in was amazing, very spacious, clean and with a four poster bed and stunning bathroom. Facilities in the room inlcuded TV, tea and coffee making facilities and free WiFi. Breakfast was excellent and... More

The rooms attached to this pub are great. The rooms ain't huge in size but they are well decorated with a nice clean ensuite. There's a TV and free WiFi. And the building is beautiful (grade 2 listed I think) the attached pub is just as nice an served a fantastic breakfast which was included. It's in the heart of... More

Beautiful grade II listed hotel in lovely surroundings. Room was great, clean and quiet. Food is very good and owners and staff very friendly and attentive. The Stable bar at the rear of the hotel is really nice and cozy. Good access to many beauty spots. Well worth a visit and we would certainly go back to this hotel again.

We really enjoyed our stay here, using it as a base whilst exploring the area in the Cotswolds. We were lucky enough to have a ground floor room accessed from outside the pub with a four poster bed, a lovely stone fireplace, old beams and lots of 17th centuary character. A huge bathroom with bath and shower makes up the accommodation.... More
